if you're a GT holder you have to go to your assigned dealer and agree on the sale price. It SHOULD be msrp, but some dealers you will have to go through an uphill battle for. Ford cannot do much to force them to sell it to you at MSRP, but the allocation is assigned to that dealer, so ford cannot transfer the order. The reason they are telling you ADM is so that you cancel, and when that happens they can definitely sell it with ADM as it then is their allocation to sell. I had my dealer tell me they were going to charge 20k, I had ford CRC on the phone and they agreed to sell at MSRP. Because they agreed, I dont know what ford wouldve done, but they did tell me that they cannot legally get in the way, whatever you do, dont decline your order because it wont be transfered. The more of these I read the more confused I get. I have seriously gone through every thread on here and can't figure out what is reality. After my dealer told me $20k markup for a BRaptor and all future orders, I called 13 dealers in the DFW area and found 3 that claimed to be honoring MSRP for BRaptor orders. I attempted to make a reservation with all 3. 1 of them said that's impossible because order banks are closed, 1 of them says I need to be a GT to place an order, and the last one sent me an order confirmation that day. So please for the love of God someone help me out here. What is this order confirmation for if not my place in line for a BRaptor in 6-9 years?
If you are not a GT holder, you have to find a dealer that has allocation that will sell at msrp. This situation is highly unlikely, my advice is if you can find one for 5k over, just take the deal.
ADM sucks but on the flip side a dealer has to earn allocation for this vehicle, its harder for some than others, and they know if they sell it to you at MSRP you can turn around and sell it that day for a profit and they lose money. good luck
