With the raptor proving it is doable, what aftermarket components will I need for a 3-3.5" lift from SAS height without impacting geometry? I don't mind needing to buy from multiple manufactures. Anything out there yet or is it still a waiting game?

For sure upper control arms and adjustable rear track bar. How do you plan to achieve the 3"-3.5" lift?

That's my question for everyone here. Probably king coilovers, UCA, trailing arms. But I'm not a IFS expert so I really don't know.

Gotcha. Several lift options...spacers, adjustable coilovers, differential drop or combination of these. Which way you go kinda depends on your budget. If your looking specifically to not affect steering geometry w/ 3"-3.5" lift a diff drop, adjustable coilovers w/ new UCAs up front would be best if you plan to do serious wheeling IMO.

I plan on doing moderate wheeling. I'm not going to put myself in severe situations, but some moderate rock climbing is in my future. I'd like to be around $5-7k budget for suspension only.

just check with your dealer if any warranties would wind up getting voided. I'm already getting random errors that pop up but go away so I am keeping my truck as stock as possible to avoid any warranty issues.

IMO for moderate wheeling/rock climbing all you really need is a 2"-2.5" adjustable coilover lift (front & rear) some new UCAs upfront, adjustable track bar and trailing arms in the rear and bump up to 37" tires. You should be able to complete those items in the $5k-$6k range. I'm sure there are others who will disagree or have different opinions.

The Raptor accomplishes this by increasing track width by more than 8". I'm sure there will be aftermarket Raptor-fication lifts eventually but in the near term, you'll be looking at Raptor take off parts to accomplish what you're looking for.

You're going to need the Raptor fenders too, or you're going to look like the idiots that drive their Wranglers around on 1 ton axles.

What size Tire do you want to go with?

I'm quite certain your stock Badlands will do the work you have described. Especially if it's SAS like you mentioned.

I see. The Raptor is a completely different animal which is what makes it so wide.

An adjustable Coil-Over (3-4") would be the best set-up for you with 37s and mild Rock Climbing. Add Camburg Tubular Upper Control Arms and Rear Lower Links (For example) and an Adjustable Track Bar and you will have a pretty solid Suspension.

With those bigger tires I would also add the RPG Full-Tie-Rod Kit for a little insurance for the steering system.

I am Very Happy with this set-up. 37x12.50x18s.

Plenty of Tire Clearance with a +18 Offset Wheel.

The RPG Full Tie-Rod Kit is MUCH Beefier than stock.
