you don’t understand the issue with being charged $5000+ dollars for features you don’t receive on a last years model car that you pay full price for? I didn’t realize the bar was so low for a happy customer, as a business owner I’m starting to wonder if I try too hard…

It’s a temporary inconvenience isn’t it, unless the $5000 you are speaking of doesn’t have anything to do with the chips.

I'm not sure why ford just doesn't pull 1 day of production every regular production week to help finish the Broncos on the mountain. That would pull production back a little bit, but at least get those bronco's and FE in customer hands. Maybe there's things besides the temp gauge in the dial they pulled from the 2022s that allows them to produce them over the 2021.

There's a guy in the same town I'm in that ordered a first edition and still doesn't have an EDD. Meanwhile my wildtrack will be here 2/28, no 3/7, no 3/11, no 3/21-27. But at least it's in shipping.

That is fine, but your thread title says “Ford will ship Broncos without chips” and you have no proof that is true.

Here is a link verified that Ford Will start shipping Explorers with missing functionality.

I read through 16 pages to get the information I wanted from this article. It’s about Explorers but it gives me an idea about which features and that a price reduction would be given for vehicles without these features. Thanks for posting.

Actually that’s incorrect. Dealers make most of their money in service and when something is under warranty or owed to a customer by Ford, the dealership that installs it gets the money from Ford. It’s literally money in the dealership who does the repairs’ pocket.

They do make most of their money in the service department. I've been told many times for very many years that warranty work is the worst paying work.
What they like is the $150 an hour out of warranty work.

Thank goodness I still have a 54 year old Bronco daily driver in the garage to keep my mind occupied from this daily agony many of us are experiencing. This has to be the strangest/heart braking new vehicle order I have experienced in 56 years of driving, and many, many new vehicle orders. Hope there is light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully this country comes out of all this nonsense quickly.

I encourage all the outraged keyboard warriors to call your dealerships first thing tomorrow and 99 your builds (non-VIN orders) until the world is back to ‘normal’. You’ll get what you want and everyone who is cool making a trip back to their dealership down the road for essentially niceties can move up in line. Win-win. Oh, and other than this there’s nothing you can do about it but piss and moan.

We’ll said. I’m a ford tech and I take offense to some of the comments about techs. For sure will take my bronco with out ac or heated seats. It’s almost summer time and the doors and top will be off any how.
