Anyone notice when you use Forscan to open up the rear speakers that the on board warning chimes like tripled in volume as well? I know I can disable them with Forscan, but anyone know of a way to turn those down using Forscan. If not I will just eliminate them. I like having the seatbelt chimes in case the kids take my Bronco for a ride. ;o)
Did this today, not sure the exact module but it gives you an option to make the chimes go thru the instrument panel, not the speakers

Just did the change and can notice a difference. Also noticed the chime was WAY louder.

After som digging I got into a different module and made the chime only use the instrument panel, not the speakers.
How do you do that?

Kc did you find the difference in the back to be noticeable? I thought it was night and day. If you remember which Forscan change you made to make the chimes go through the instrument panel and could share that would be awesome, otherwise I will poke around in Forscan, as I am getting a little more comfortable with the tool. Thanks!

As concisely as possible:

Replace your rear pod speakers with those of your choice
Connect a wired or bluetooth module to your Bronco, and turn your Bronco on (don't start the engine)
Open ForScan, save a profile if you need to, it will inventory all your modules
Choose the ACM module for configuration editing
Take a backup of the ACM module, because you should
On line 727-01-01 change 382B to read 3800
Hit the write button closest to your mouse, it should be on line 727-01-04
Turn Bronco off, remove module from OBD port, turn Bronco back on

That's it.
I just tried it and honestly could not tell any difference…. BASE sound system with upgraded 4 inch speakers.

I didn't expect this, but thank you! You should send this over to the Forscan master thread as well as they are keeping a spreadsheet on all common changes.
Could you tell any difference? Still sounded flat to me (maybe it’s just the tiny enclosure)…

I bet the soundbar mod is the way to go. I'm hoping to get mine done at GAS soon. I'll report back for sure.

Its better, but the 4” speakers just don’t produce enough range of volume. I threw a subwoofer in the back and it pretty much cured all my issues I had with the audio system.

I tried 3800 and yeah, you wanna divert the chimes away from the APM. But then all you have for cross-traffic and parking aid is a weak, mono, non-directional "peep" from the dash.
I went back to 3801 (which sounds identical to 3800) and stock chime configuration thru the APM

Does 3801 give you the full range to the rear but leave chimes at an acceptable level?

I'm thinking the sound bar flash is the way to go. FORscan method seems like give/take kind of thing.

I am curious about this as well. I currently have the dealer scheduled to do the soundbar flash during prep whenever my bronco arrives (was 2/9 blend date, but no update yet). Flashing still seems the best way to go based on following this whole thread?
