If you look at the reference:

727-01-01 XX*X
* is for “Front/Rear Satellite Speakers

Changing it from “2” to “0” changes it from:

“Front: Int Amp & Rear: Fixed L/L”

to

“Front: Int Amp & Rear: Int Amp”

It also says “Fixed L/L=aka Smart Amp”

We want a dumb amp to send a regular signal.

727-01-01 XXX* changes AUX1 & AUX2 settings. Not sure it needs to be changed. @Bronconewby is there a reason you changed it?

I have it set that way because im planning to run an amp for my subwoofers at somepoint. Technically it could be set for 0.

Your are correct, just depends your needs or what works for you. Im planning to place a seperate amp for the subwoofers on the rear. So thats what i did with mine.

Just tested:

727-01-01 - Changed 382B to 380B - rear speakers seem even more hollow to me

Reverted that change.

727-01-02 - Changed 0901 to 0900 - Occupancy mode setting is gone, but I feel like the rear is quite noticeably louder

I am leaving the 727-01-02 setting in place for now. I have no need for adjusting the occupancy mode
Change line 1, 1st box.. 3rd and 4th characters.

For most user who dont plan to go beyond the standard 6 speaker setup and are just replacing speakers i would go with.

727-01-01 3800 14F1 0063
Line 1 only.. nothing modified on line 2.

Go back to my original post and read thru them. I wouldn't touch Line 2.. the stuff i have posted is based on a stock 6 speaker system. Cant validate it would to the same for the BO system. But if your already meessing with Forscan. Look at the link i posted that has all the options for ACM module..
I wasn't even quoting you... Lol
Go back and re-read MY posts. 🤣

@kput said he changed line 2, and it worked, you're saying change line 1

I'm so confused :)
Line 2 did shit for me.... About to try line 1 as soon as I get caught up here

Any car company with a quality system does this and any aftermarket audio aficionado would expect it. It’s called a high pass filter, although most audio enthusiasts want to be able control the cross over point. Ford audio designers put the high pass on because the cheap stock 4 inch speakers would most likely blow quickly, trying to play frequencies they cannot handle as 4” speakers, especially as volume increase. What would have been nice is the ability to go into a screen and select cross over frequency. By the way a large quantity of aftermarket speakers have this same feature built into the speaker. That’s what the little coils are on the backside beside the magnet.
So being a complete audio dunce like me.... what would you suggest for a quick and easy fix for the speakers? I'm thinking new dash speakers, new rear speakers, and flash the audio at my dealer? Will this work for the average guy who likes to crank up the music occasionally when a good song comes on?

And if the answer is yes, what speakers/models would you recommend? Thanks,

Just did 727-01-01 3801 14F1 006E.
Works... Factory rear speakers are still super-shit, but you CAN hear a bit of difference in midrange.
But... My Polk dB402's (in the dash) sound even better than factory settings 👍🏻👍🏻
Ordering another set for the rear

This is what I did. I've not found a dealer yet who claims to understand how to flash the rear speakers. The system sounded fine without the sub woofer , but the sub really rounded out the sound.

Front Kick panel (1 pair):

Front Dash and Rear Pods (2 Pairs):

Powered Subwoofer:

Connectors to use stock wiring - don't need to cut/splice:
For the kick panel - one pair

For the dash and rear pods - 2 pairs

Yes, perfect plan. I would suggest Alpine S S-40

I tested 00 and 01 on my 6 speaker base (infinity 4" in dash and rear, stock 6.5 kicks).

Both sound noticably improved. Its much less tinny and packs way more volume than normal. I stuck with 00 for now

Curious where you mounted the subwoofer? I’m assuming under the seat
