No 2 door orders???

Hi, tried to order a 2 door today , dealer said program wouldn't let him order ,only 4 doors. Is this common?

Just had my dealer submit my 2dr to the bank today. Like 2 hours ago.

For a couple months I got the same "we can't order that" story from Dealer A (small dealer).

Dealer B (BIG dealer) was able to put in my order a few days ago, no problem. I got the confirmation from Ford to prove it.

It is possible that Ford's system locks them out if they don't have allocation. OR....

What I suspect may be happening is that the dealers who say "we can't order that" are trying to enter the orders as "stock" (to sell on the lot) and not as "retail" (customer order). Retail orders apparently got a new ordering process somewhat recently.

Could be this is a smaller dealer . But he showed me on screen where he couldn't click on 2 door build and could build a four door, so I'm pretty sure no funny stuff about dealer stock .

One of the earlier posts in your threat someone said they placed a 2 door order today.

Just to add to that "stock" vs "retail" order perhaps limiting it, due to MIC top issues I recall sometime back dealers were being told to only order 4 door soft tops. So maybe 2 door is locked out of a stock order.

Retail orders apparently got a new ordering process somewhat recently.

The link you give it says it specifically excludes Broncos. I wish it is that simple....although I have to say, of the two orders I have in, the newest the dealer requested all paperwork so they could submit to ford to verify and the old order at another dealer they say it isn't needed. Well the new order got picked up and the old one seems to be languishing.

That was probably true at the time of that post, but Bronco is now part of COVP.

thanks for info im going to try ordering at another dealer tommorrow will post results , we already received my wifes bronco on july 7 2021 it was an outerbanks 4 door leather AMB high package 2.7
first day reservation. we really like it !

Thanks, good to know. It says orders placed earlier don't require it....but I am thinking it is wise to get it verified cause Ford seems to be definitely favoring new orders over older reservations.
