This has only happened twice so I’m not terribly worried yet. I’m from Wisconsin and she’s been a little chilly recently. I generally keep auto temp on the low setting. Theres been a couple times after I remote start the bronco that I got in and it’s freezing cold. After starting the vehicle from the inside. I crank up the heat and nothing happens keep in mind that the auto temp is still on the low setting. I’ve tried bumping it up to high and still nothing. I end up turning the fan speed up ( which turns the auto temp off ) and it starts to warm up.
So strange to me. Let me know if any of you have had this issue.

I understand it's a whole nuther story here, but my Jeep has done the same several times. If I use the manual fan that usually clears it up when I hit the "auto" button again. Like you I have no idea why, and I know if I take it in it will come back with "unable to recreate" or something like that. So, I'm just hoping if it goes, it goes while the warranty is still good. Good luck, these new fangled electronics baffle me at times. :)

Using the auto setting will only turn the fan up to a higher speed after the Bronco thinks the engine is warm enough to blow warm air on you. If you drive a little bit it starts to speed up and then it's going strong. Sorry if I misunderstood the problem. I don't actually use the auto setting, I've only tried it out.

Makes perfect sense.

Start it sooner, give it time to warm up, you'll have no more complaints.

Change your dashboard display to see coolant temp. Auto seems to start ramping up fan speed at 90-100f coolant temp.

It may have a PTC (auxiliary heater) if ordered with a cold weather package but I didn't see that as an option on Bronco.

It's not resistive heat but some Prius have a heat pump.

I can’t say if this is a defect or not but I have never been in a vehicle where the Auto setting could keep up in the winter. It always falls behind and you lose the windshield extremely quickly.

When you get in, I think you'll wanna hit the max defrost button.
Why are you turning the temp all the way to 'low'? Leave it at a comfortable setting when you park it 🤷
I understood his post that he leaves it in the auto setting with one light lit up.

That will do auto temps, but at low fan speed to be quiet.

OP if you want it to do auto faster, select auto with 2 or 3 lights lit.

This is what I noticed today. Soon as it hit 100 it started to blast off. I’m coming from a 2018 Grand Cherokee which blew air right away. So it was just different for me.

On mine, the "Auto" low option never seems to go below fan speed 3...which is still super loud. Anyone else? My mom's '21 Explorer has the same Auto low, med, high like the Bronco and hers works just fine when you set it to a specific temp.

Ford also took away the temp displayed on the knob with the 2022s...

as others have said the auto temp won't blow until it can either blow warm or cold air depending on the season
