The Wildtrak has an option for full skid plates and I got it. Not sure what “Full” means but I like full as oppose to not full. I guess I will find out when it comes
It's not really full. It only covers a few key areas. Prob less than 20% of bottom. It's not full bottom for sure. I'm hoping to get as much coverage as I can.

I hope it is full as it is called full?

It's a 3 piece kit. Ford part number MB3Z-5D032-D This is for a two door. (Mine) But you get the idea. Not exactly "full" more, full of weaknesses.

I just installed the oem skid plates on my Base with SAS and I don’t have the modular bumper either. To fit the front skid plate, I had to cut off the tow hooks for the front lip of the plate to sit flush with that mount. I was fine with cutting them off since they were useless with the aftermarket bumper I installed. The other two small plates had no problems.
For the gas tank skid I waited until the tank itself was under half full, because you have to take off the existing straps holding it up. I used tie wire to hold it up temporarily, took off the straps, bolted up the new skid loosely, cut the wires out, and tightened everything up. Overall, pretty simple, but the tank skid is heavy.
The skid plate kit sold for a 4 door has everything you need, including bolts and instructions. Only thing it lacks is the correct mount up front if you want to keep tow hooks.
So mine should be here in the next couple days, I have the Mod bumper (will probably sell the front skid since i already have). So the gas tank, im confused?? ill get under her and take a look. So it sits on the skid plate after install? and is currently attached with a strap? any help would be appreciated. Again ill get under her and see in person. Im sure its not difficult just mind prepping. If i can put on those Dam Rhino D6 rock rails I can do this LOL.

Sorry, my use of the word strap is probably confusing. A few pages of instructions will come with it, but there are currently 2 steel straps or brackets that hold up the gas tank now on your Bronco. The brackets are each held up with one bolt on each side. The brackets need to be removed and the gas tank skid will effectively take their place and will then hold up the gas tank. I think that plate uses 8 bolts instead of the previous 4. The kit will include all new bolts as well.

I just took some tie wire, doubled it up, and then ran it around the tank up to the frame and drive shaft. I kept the wires a few inches from each bracket so when I installed the skid plate loosely, I could cut the wires and pull them out without them being caught in the area the plate supports the tank. Hope that make sense. I’m sure there are many and probably better ways to temporarily hold the tank up. The instructions call for emptying the gas tank, but at half full it’s not all that heavy. 1/4 full or less would be even easier.

Thanks for the in-depth response. I’ll have my kids help out we got this! 🤙🏽

The gas tank skid is no joke it’s very stout. I did what carryon did and tied up the tank. I did do the install with hardly any gas in the tank to make it easier but it probably didn’t even matter because the tank is tied up with wire. If anyone goes to install one here’s another tip. Get the skid plate under the bronco close to where it lines up to bolt on. Grab the front half (which is the lighter half) and raise it up where you can get the two bolts in the front. After you get those two bolts finger tight raise up the rest of the plate and finger thread all the bolts in. Go back and tighten them all down. Super easy even thought it’s really heavy.

Well have all the skids only needed 2 of them. Guess I’ll save the front two as back up. Had fun in the wet and cold dripping snow installing. 😂

Great job! I‘ll bet it was fun with the snow and wet. Pretty tight squeeze for a body under there as well!

I bet you could sell the front skid and the plate behind it pretty easily since so many people will have the plastic stock ones.
