All, for the past 3 mos. I've been reading through the numerous posts on suspension lifts, etc. Now that my 2023 OBX has arrived (2.7L/4dr./ADV 4x4, 4.27 with locking rear diff/with tow pkg.). I'd appreciate your feedback on my planned suspension mods. I have a "medium" upgrade budget, so not looking to spend more than I need to - but do want it set up right.

1) The OBX suspension is fairly soft with decent body roll and plenty of nose dive. I have a set of Wildtrack 17" OEM takeoff wheels that I'm looking to put 35" AT tires. Likely K02's/Toyo Open Country/Falken Wild Peak. Looking to add 35's, firm up the suspension a bit for better on/off road handling, and increase my off road capability as well.

- This is my daily driver, will be doing some (solo) off roading/car camping/over-landing (no serious rock crawling planned).
- I carry my MTB w/KUAT rack (total 60 -70lbs) and will be carrying minimal camping gear in cargo area.
- I will eventually add either the Capable or Mod bumper with LEDs, no planned winch.
- I will add the factory bash plates (partial or full set) once I source the front bumper.
- I may end up adding the steel rear bumper

After looking at SAS (take off) suspension, and many other offerings I keep coming back to the Bilstein 6112's OR FP Coil-overs. Feeling really comfortable having my LFD install the FP units in that I keep warranty, HOWEVER, the 6112s are adjustable/but will be more expensive install, so there's that. The stock OBX ride height is actually fine, however, I will need to at least go up 1.5" and remove crash bars for the 35's to fit w/o issue.

Also, I've seen where quite a few folks have reused their stock springs and just upgraded their shocks...recommended?

And I've been down the "perch collar vs spacers vs body lift" rabbit hole but it seems each of these options have their drawbacks.

And, for those of you who have experience with either the 6112's and/or FP coil-over (for non-sas Broncos) are you actually getting the advertised lift with these two coil-over products?

Thank you, I appreciate you feedback (y)

Adding my 2 cents in case it’s something you haven’t considered…

You could run 285/75’s on stock wheels for the 35’s. Then put some of that money towards a suspension install.

Toyo > Falken for me. The ATIII has been money for asphalt/dirt/sand.

Also, in be4 someone recommends KO2’s 🤣

LOL, gone through two sets of the K02's on my Raptor and neither set lasted much pst 20K miles before needing replacement...definitely looking to try something different and have a buddy who has/loves the Toyo's...

You need to define increasing off road ability. Like going fast over bumps? Fire roads? Rock Crawling? Mud Bogging?

Fyi I would just buy 4wp coilovers from Boss4x4.com they still have a $500 discount when you put them in the cart.

If your goal is to protect the warranty above all else, you can't go wrong with the FP coilovers or SAS take-offs. The SAS take-offs are probably the most economical and most likely get you where you want to go.

Also, take a look at the Eibach stage 1 and stage 2 kits. They are a pretty good value for what they offer. I was going the take-off route until I got a great deal on the Eibach stage 2 kit and decided to go that direction.

Apologies if I wasn't clear, more fire roads and the occasional bumps, but no rock crawling nor high speed desert runs...just nosing around off-road, getting places to ride my MBT and camp etc. Would like to go check out Death Valley and SoCal desert areas, but likely stay away from level 5 rated rock crawling trails (if that's a thing)...thx!

Ultimately, I know any given dealer can deny a warranty claim because you sneeze whereas others turn a blind eye so I don't worry too much about it. I also look at my local dealerships as a last resort. They're all mediocre at absolute best around my neck of the woods and if I can't wrench on something myself, I like to give a local shop my business.
Thanks, I hadn't spent much time checking out the Eibach kits. While warranty is important it is not the ultimate driver for me, just would be super convenient to have my dealer install (they will only do the FP approved stuff) and stand behind the install, warranty, etc. Realistically though, with my intended use, don't expect to ever have warranty issues do to abuse. Thanks again for your feedback, appreciate it!!

I have a non-sas Black Diamond and within a month of ownership I purchased a set of Sas take offs. Super easy install and made fitting 35s super easy. Ride quality has improved both on and offroad, but much more noticeable offroad compared to the stock Hitachis. I bought the Sas take offs for $250 and was super economical for what I was going for.

While Sasquatch takeoffs would be cheaper and an improvement some finding wild track hoss 3 takeoffs would be my choice. The 6100s would be good too but more $s plus springs (springs is why it is soft and dives now, that won’t change much with just shocks).

Thank you for confirming that, was leaning towards replacing entire coil-over units👍
