Has anyone identified the power and ground wires going into the pre collision assist system on non-auto dimming models? I’d like to use a rear view tap here to power my radar detector.

Get whatever Dongar or similar power adapter on Amazon or radar detectors. It plugs right in. I wouldn’t tap into wires and open up a kind of Pandora’s box.

Does the non-auto dimming mirror have that wiring?

I have a Mid package 2023 WT. Cheap mirror, many wiring kits available. Badlands depending on year is supposed to have auto dim standard.

Check into the options available for your particular vehicle online. It’s easy enough on Amazon or other marketplaces.

I can’t seem to find one for the basic big bend. The only powers behind it goes to the pre collision system so I was hoping someone knew which wires were power and ground to use a universal kit.

I can’t seem to find one for the big bend basic mirror. The only power back there goes to the pre collision system and I need it to work an rj11.

Ok sorry I mis read. I can’t help with a solution here without digging into my truck, and I don’t think I have auto dim either. I have a Dongar and this thing connected to my Escort.

But in general I’d be worried about tapping voltage off of a critical safety module like that unless someone had a proof case or a working product to suggest doing it. Detectors can pull some continuous amps. I’m actually waiting for a long road trip to test my detector and Wolfbox taps to see if it causes any faults.
Why are you using a radar detector? Are we going back to 1980? Put on Waze and call it a day. No wiring.
Agreed, use it. And Escort 360. But in the middle of nowhere Western USA and the border, the detector helps to encourage <ahem> safe driving. Just took it (and GPS) off my window glass, several States including CO have outlawed that.
