Anyone having any troubles with their wiper fluid not working? I’m kinda guessing what’s supposed to make it work admittedly (cause it’s no where to be found in the onboard manual) I turn them on and I can here the little motor trying to go but I get nothing. I thought maybe the fluid might have got overlooked but it’s full. Just curious any tips?

I have the same issue, I just hold the lever down for a while and then the fluid finally starts coming out. Thought it was air in the line at first but I've used the washer fluid too many times for that now.

I’ve had that problem lately as well. Somehow the pump loses its prime. I’m going to report it next time I’m in for a service.

I notice there to be a delay from activation to actually spraying fluid. It does not happen every time but when it does I definitely take note.

+1 here. It's annoying. Hopefully over a long time, it doesn't burn out the pump.

Had it happen once, was fine the next time I drove it.

Same here. I took it in and they replaced the pump but it's still happening. Sounds minor but what happens is the wipers start going and streak crap all over the windshield before any fluid sprays, and some times it doesn't even spray at all. I feel this is a significant safety issue. At night, you smear bug guts on the windshield and are blinded when car lights hit the windshield.

Yep. Sometimes I have to hold it down until the motor turns off and do that several times before it finally works. Its really fun in the winter going over the mountain pass.

Since I've never had a problem with my washer fluid not spraying and mine works fine, it's sounded like a bad batch of pumps, but looking at the above posters deliveries dates and you're too spread out for it to be just a bad batch pumps. It also doesn't matter which engine and it shouldn't, above have both, so it must be a supplier's quality control problem.

I've read before about this and yet it's not a consistent problem for everyone or isolated to a production group or an engine, so I think it must be the pump and the supplier overall quality control.

Ford's new quality guru needs to get on the little things like this ASAP, solve a bunch of smaller easier problems quickly and greatly improve overall customer experience. I'm assuming there are people already working on any of the current recalls or major issues, but jumping on stuff like this when a trend is appearing and you save a lot of effort before it becomes a recall.

Consistent small improvement using data is the way back to Quality and "sweating the little details" before they become large numbers costs less money in the long run. Don't get me wrong, not being able see isn't a little thing, but the number of occurrences seem limited for now and it should be taken care of before it becomes a major issue numbers wise.

It's the little details that the quality guru needs to jump on quickly.

Exactly what we are experiencing with our 24 Bronco Raptor. Glad I found this thread. Any updates as to what was the resolution? I try to be armed with info before ever returning to the dealer.

This is what ours does as well. My concern is overheating the pump or burning it up over time. No leaks anywhere so it's not leaking out. Never experienced this much of a delay with any other vehicle I have owned.

If you can hear the motor going, and not fluid is coming out many folks are drilling a small hole in the top of the reservoir cap. The pump can lose prime and then get airlocked. You can confirm by simply popping the cap, and holding the button down for 5-10 seconds

I have read where some have drilled a small hole in here. I will test the open cap theory to see if that improves things. Thanks.

Sadly they wore me down and I just gave up. Same as I did with the top, just stopped trying to get it fixed and I just live with it now.
