Wildtrack Flat Tow a CJ-5?

Does anyone have experience using a Bronco 2.7 SAS with tow flat towing an old Jeep? I have a CJ-5 with V-8 that am considering using my Bronco for a 300 mile journey vs my Raptor......

Take the F150!

I recently towed the same UHaul trailer on the same route back to back on two different days. One with my 2.7 OBX, the other with my F150. It was no contest - the truck towed “like there was nothing back there“, the Bronco was capable but always more busy and shifting. Also, the F150 (5.4 V8) got 14 MPG while the Bronco (2.7 EB) got 12 MPG.

Thanks. I estimate the weight at 3000 but like your experience with the Raptor or F-150 you hardly know the Jeep is being towed. Plus the wear on the Bronco transmission constantly shifting is important to factor in. I keep trying to involve the Bronco in my treks and activities, but it always comes up short when compared with the truck.

Sounds like the only solution is a bigger truck and a big trailer that will fit both the bronco and jeep!
