For anyone conserned enough, lockes for the capless system are readily available and cheap.

Edit: Apparently that one doesn't fit the Bronco like I thought.
But this one supposedly does.

I never gave it much though, probably cause I haven’t had one since my 5 liter fox in the early nineties

But then you have to carry keys with you, and that's a thing.
I couldn't see dealing with an actual lock every time I had to fill up and I live in NJ where someone else is doing the pumping.

With that said, I can see a use for this when traveling, or leaving your Bronco unattended on a trail, camping or wherever idiot kids may be tempted to be idiots.

That said, on a recent trip, the Wrangler 4XE we rented did have one of those release buttons on the dash. My wife’s Sahara, does have a door, but it does not lock, hence no fancy button.

Yep, a key would be really bulky compared to the tiny fob.
Yea, the fob is huge I know, but I don't carry any keys ever. I suppose you could just leave the key in the center console, but just one more thing to deal with.

If someone is brazen enough to steal fuel, there not going to have a problem with prying a locking door open with a screwdriver. If they take time to cut off catalytic converters, a screwdriver to the fuel door is east peasy. I wouldn't be worried about it.

I bet Ford saw the Wrangler did not have a locking fuel door (no door at all on some trim levels ) so did not have one with no need to compete.
The new Wrangler has a locking fuel door. I rented one at Zion a few weeks ago and was pretty surprised by it.

Though to be fair, they're probably more concerned with Bronco owners pouring sugar in Jeep fuel tanks.
