I need to order a bimini mesh sunshade that I can install and not have to remove on my 2024 Raptor. What brand are you running? Would you recommend it? Please pos a photo. TIA

I’ve got a 4x4 attitude one on mine, not a raptor. Might be worth checking with them to see if they do have raptor ones now. They’ve got a ton of cool designs and can make your own.
I’ve had mine on for over a year. Just pull 4 bungees over the passenger part before I put the top back on

I’ve had a Mabett one, this is year 3. The straps are starting to come off and I’ve had to do some repairs - it probably won’t make it to year 4.

That said, it doesn’t require anything at all to pull the soft top up, so it’s convenient in that manner, and it fit pretty well and is pretty easy to install. But does not fit underneath the hard top.

Mine is from best top, it seems to work well and I do put it underneath my hardtop. I just leave it on there and the good thing about that. It puts about an inch layer between the hard top and the mesh top and it’s a good layer of insulation for winter and summer

Spiderwebshades for me. I installed it about a week ago, price is higher than some of the other bungee brands but the quality is excellent. Customer service is also top notch. My Bronco is missing hard top mounts which are part of the installation but they shipped me additional hardware so I can workaround the issue with no hesitation.

I’m mad that I waited so long to buy one, the difference in comfort is night and day. Not only the shade but the wind noise/turbulence is much reduced. It makes driving with the top down much more enjoyable.

I also considered jtops which is another American made brand but they attach with Velcro instead of bungees. Jtops provides more coverage but I didn’t want to deal with the install or the ramifications if I decided I didn’t like it.

I don’t think you can go wrong either way, both are reputable American made products that should last a long time. I’ll try to grab a pic tomorrow.

I’ve had my JTopsUSA for coming up on three years. The Velcro is still intact and I remove it when the hardtop goes back on so I can see my patch collection. I was very surprised at how much heat it blocks from the sun.

That’s great!
This is Mike from JTops…
Mesh color has less effect on heat than the weave of the mesh. We have documented the interior heat on all the colors we use and found only minor variations.

Where the mesh comes from is extremely important. Our mesh comes from Twitchell in North Carolina and has a tighter weave than most of the imported mesh others may use.
The manufacturer classifies the color mesh as a 14x17 weave and our titanium is a 14x14. That’s why the titanium color mesh has a 90% UV rating. Also because of the tighter weave the rain will bounce off while driving…just don’t stop! Remember it’s mesh.
So look for a quality mesh in whatever product you choose to buy it will give you many more years of service and keep your interior and passenger safe from the damaging UV Rays.

The dense titanium, which I’d imagine has less holes than other options.
That’s true, I spoke with JTops today and that what thy told me! All the other mesh materials (colors) have rectangular openings, where the titanium has square holes.
That’s great!

I have a regular old alienshade from Amazon. I did sew a zipper pocket to it that goes around the extra roll bar tube that the Braptors have. That keeps it from bouncing.

I'm buying a JTops for my '24 Badlands. I've researched quite a bit and their top looks far superior to me.

this is good info and something I can corroborate. I own a couple architectural shade and awning companies and we use, among other things, lots of mesh. Several other companies make high quality architectural exterior mesh (phifer or ferrari for example) with many different openness factors…..5, 7, 10, 15% etc. Finding the right stuff to use is first base.
Velcro however……not for me.
