Torx.
Possibly "Torx Plus" for the Bronco bolts. There is a difference.
Which reminds me, I still need to get a Torx Plus socket set.

Not sure if the size is stamped on the tool kit that came with the Bronco??? That should help clue you in.

The “accessory ready” one is T25, the bigger one for the cowl is T27.

just checked in my garage.
I did as well but had a better fit with the 30 on the larger one 🤔

This is one of those little things that drives me nuts. Why, why, why couldn't they use the same bolt for both? Don't care which, just pick one and stay somewhat consistent.

Just double checked and you’re right. Edited my post to reflect. Thanks.

I’ve found that with torx [plus] bits, it’s best to start too big and work your way down to the proper size. More than once I’ve used too small a bit because it seems to fit good enough such that you don’t try the next size up.

Also, you can use a torx bit in a torx plus fastener but not the other way around. Not ideal, but for those of us without torx plus drivers, it’ll work in a pinch.

I used a standard T25 on the smaller one. My kit didn’t include a T25.
