Hi everyone,

Looking to replace my tires as the tread is getting low, and I am wondering what the difference between these two models of the OEM tire (see screenshots below).

It seems to me that the only difference is that one version has raised lettering (serrated vs the black side wall). But it comes in at nearly $40 extra a tire, and there are no picture differences between the two tires.

Hoping that anyone can shed some lights, with pictures of the two different models preferred.

Thanks in advance.

I think…….The tire for $40 dollars more is made specifically for GM and the other is made specifically for Ford(FO/GM after sidewall designation) The GM is about 4lbs heavier. Both tires have same “carcass” but slightly different tread patterns. Not 100% sure but the GM version possibly has a bit more tread as their diameter is slightly larger.

I think you all are right. Ford vs GM. Did a little bit of digging and found an example of someone on youtube talking about this and he shows the different tread patterns between the bronco and GM trucks. I am attaching the video at the specific time stamp:

Bronco ORM does not have WRANGLER on it. Alludes to competition jeep
Correct. Ford had Goodyear remove the Wrangler name from one side of the tire.

I am sure that is the difference in the designations above, just surprised there is an actual cost difference.

And a large difference at that. $40 more a tire, or $200 for 4 and the spare is pretty significant

Right. And if you put those non-OEM Goodyear Wranglers on your Bronco, you'll end up with a whole line of plastic ducks on your dashboard. BTW: I really like my Wranger RT's on my Bronco.

If you're replacing the tires.... don't go with the OEM's. I'd upgrade to the new Duratrac RT's. Here's a review I did.

Nice tires, but cost is a factor for me unfortunately. The duratracs are more than double the cost compared to OEM
