I use THIS. Bronco specific and hidden out of the way (also works for sunglasses).
And Cheap!

EDIT: Okay, 'Cheap' as far as Bronco mods go! 😬

I’m trying to avoid an opener that can be actuated without the car being on.

Since I park in the driveway, if someone breaks into the car, they could then use the opener to get into the garage and once in the garage, they could get into the house.

Meross smart garage opener w/ HomeKit (off amazon) and CarPlay - works amazing.

I turn into my neighborhood and the interface of CarPlay presents an option to open the garage door in the bottom right corner and I just tap it.

It also has the added benefit of knowing open vs closed status so you don't accidentally "close" the door if someone else has it already opened.

They want $18 for that? Does look useful though, I think I'll 3d print a couple. Thanks!
Finished printing. Black PETG with a blue TPU liner.

That’s impressive. How did you design/draw it.

I’m curious about these things because I’m hoping to get a 3D printer soon and trying to figure out how to draw stuff to be printed.

Very clever! Over priced, yes, but there is precious little storage space inside the Bronco. I'm gonna swallow hard & get 2..... šŸ˜

I put a button tied into a garage door opener on the bottom of the ledge that the start button is on. You would have no idea it's there unless I told you or you rubbed your hand under that ledge. Works great.

Surprised? The features of each package are clearly listed before you purchase... I use the MyQ app on my iphone.
As others may have note (I haven't read all the way through), some of us had literature showing it at order but are learning of decontenting between purchase and delivery...

i was surprised to discover my new Bronco doesn’t have HomeLink.

I park in the driveway, but I go in through the garage, so having a garage door remote the car is ideal.

Because it’s parked in the driveway, I probably don’t want to leave a fob in there since if someone gets into the car, they can get into the house. It’s unlikely, but still…

I looked at replacement visors and mirrors, but they’re pricey.

It looks like I’m down to Meross, Tailwind or Genie Connect. It seems that all of those rely on having your phone with you which is OK I guess.

What are others doing?
I have the MyQ hub and use my phone; it works great!

I ended up getting the Meross for the opener and controlling it with an Apple HomePod.

I didn’t want to spend that much, but I must admit it’s pretty cool the way it pops up in Car Play as I get close to home.
