I did same - my CJ-7 never had carpet. The rust problem can occur down the road, as some of the seam sealer peels, and water sits or gets into seams in some areas, such as where the roll bar mounts on the floor behind the front seats. You can't get the water from under that and it can become a rust magnet. But agree overall, having the lack of carpet and drain holes, made cleaning easy.

OK...I can tell from your name you prolly like visual variety. But, it's much like the discussion around the MIC grey top not matching ANY of the other exterior trim

So, on my Velocity Blue Badlands I'm gonna have orange grab handles & upholstery stitching? Who would want that? Ford definitely did not bring their "A Game" to the decorating party.

It'll match the grille and wheels on a Badlands

Velocity blue will be one of the better colors for the orange accents! Complementary colors. The Hydro blue Mojave Gladiator looks great with the orange.

I saw the Badlands IRL and was playing with the plugs, before I was scolded by the Ford staff, LOL.

Badlands and Black Diamond have active plugs. The rest have passive holes.
Just watched the LLoD video and see what you were able to mess with. Thanks!

@elmystico just got some clarification on this (https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...lebration-west-day-2.5060/page-23#post-179761).

Basically the rep confirmed that the carpeted back of the rear seats was due to it having leather instead of vinyl. He says get the marine vinyl if you want full washout capability.
This is great news, and I’m quoting it so it will get more visibility.

Now that we know he *can* get the interior he was hoping for, I hope the OP will apologize for getting all worked up and jumping to conclusions based on pictures taken of a single preproduction demonstrator.

;)

I'm telling you, until the B&P is live, expect more entertainment threads like this.

everybody comes off as a jerk on the inter webs....it's cuz we are not looking at each other, holding a beer and laughing while we are pissing each other off..... (y)

That comment about these pre-production interiors being more or less what you should expect really stirred things up.

I don't blame the OP for being concerned - and some people went overboard the other way - but people need to remember that context is important and any sentence can be interpreted multiple ways. Try to avoid reading too much into every little thing we hear.

Agreed. I really bumped on everyone focusing on that comment.
It’s so easy for the person asking the question, the person answering the question, and the person hearing the answer to all be thinking about different things.

Person A: “So, is this what it’ll look like?” (Interior colors and accents)
Person B: “Yep, what you see is pretty much what you’ll get.” (Control layout, infotainment, accessories)
Person C: “FORD DROPPED THE BALL” (plastic textures, fit and finish)

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve certainly seen some things and said to myself “oh man, I hope that’s not final”... but I’m saving my disappointment for when B&P and dealer mannequins show up.

I chalk it up to maturity level and some people's inability to read or interpret what someone else is trying to say. People on the internet get great pleasure in trying to make others look stupid. Been that way since the beginning.

And I will say this. Many people here have never used an SUV for any sort of actual "utility". And it shows.
You're right the maturity level is a little low for some folks and their exaggerations are a tell.

Dude, I'd not go there with regards to how people use their vehicles for utility purposes. You don't know us and you haven't even entered the Bronco family. Sorry I was there way before you. Many a time spent cutting firewood and hauling a full load in the back of the Bronco. Oh wait, it is fully carpeted (Ranger interior). Still own the same Bronco since the family bought it new. Just stop.

Two Quick question regarding the Ford documents:
1) Is the circled info done with a Race Red pen? It looks good, so if it’s Race Red I may have to take a send look.

Bwahhh haaa haaa. You got me. Because I had to hold the phone closer to see if it was. I thought you were on to something.
