And if this is the case you either need a new dog or a truck to throw the Mongrel in the back of...
I'd pick new dog. Our 2 dogs just made a 10 hour trip one way (then back) in an extended cab f150 with no dog breaks and not one issue was had... mine (super mutt) started to complain but I think he was just bored

I have 3 dogs and 1 was never car trained (we got her as a 4 year old) and she sometimes pukes but and that’s unavoidable. Never have they shit or pissed in any of my vehicles though.

Easy there buddy, I've been proven wrong. Not afraid to admit when that happens, it happens frequently. I did say that I didn't feel like reading through all of it. I should have, and that's my bad.. but also... there seems to be some conflicting info because I was looking at an official Ford document... you were looking at an official Ford document... jusy sayin'

Didn't call anyone illiterate. People in this thread have not even taken the time to read before chiming in with their smart ass replies. I said no less than three times I wasn't expecting the interior to stand up to a hose down or a pressure washer. More the ability to easily wipe down the whole interior when it gets dirty. Including the cargo area. But yet people keep replying with that comment. I said twice the examples I used were "possible" worst case scenarios. But people pick that little bit and roll with it trying to make me look like some sort of moron that cuts fish in the trunk or lets a dog shit in my vehicle. And never even said I have a superior grasp on how to use an SUV. I have and still do use mine for actual utility purposes. People who are replying with the silly ass comments either haven't or don't plan to.
I think more than anything you said in your post itself, it is the overly dramatic and reaction inducing heading (Washout interior is a fail!!!)
that got the expected replies, some rather funny you must admit ??.

Just think of it as you being the good sport that provided the ingredients for the guys to have fun with and not the focus of personal ridicule or hatred.?

We come here to have fun, talk about our object of lust and be the kids we are waiting impatiently for our bright new toy. Thanks for being a good sport and don’t bother explaining yourself bro !??

This may have been pointed out already but I don't feel like wading through the complaints. It says very clearly, "rubberized washable floor"... this is not the same as a 'washout interior'. If you look at the photos of the inside of these things, the material CLEARLY changes about 1/3rd the way up the console. This is obviously a factory replacement for WeatherTech that you don't need to remove. It's for getting in with muddy boots and sandy feet and being able to rinse it out without much fuss.

I had rubber "rinse out" floors in my '07 F150, it was nice, but I also understood that I wasn't going to be taking a pressure washer to the inside of my truck.

These floors are a nice factory option for people like me, who are smart enough to put the top back on before I go hit a mud pit.

And I will state this yet again so you don't have to wade though the thread. I don't interpret washout interior as the ability to spray a hose or pressure washer to the whole interior. Never have.

Knee jerk reaction when something I was expecting and really looking forward to didn't materialize into what I was actually expecting.

Imagine if they gave the impression that the 2.7 was going to have the manual and then all of a sudden it didn't. This forum would implode. LOL

So reading the Q&A from Super Celebration West. This comes from the brand manager.

This was on the Badlands model. Which is already known has washout interior. But if you look at the pics of the rear seat backs they are carpet.

How can you label this as washout interior if the whole interior isn't truly able ti be washed out.

I must say I'm highly disappointed. The washout interior was one key feature I wanted. And was the sole reason I was going with the Black Diamond. Guess Ford just made my decision to go with the Big Bend.
Where did Ford write "washout interior"?

I couldn't imagine sitting heavy cargo on the back of seats layered in vinyl. Durability of marine grade vinyl is fine for withstanding rain and butts but I can't see it doing very well if it was loaded with anything heavy with edges that are remotely sharp like most furniture. It may not tear but I could see it getting all marked up. I'll take carpet over vinyl on the back of my seats any day, water-resistant or not.
I certainly hope Outer Banks has carpet on the seat backs with lux package and leather. That will help keep the noise level down.

Cool bub... see above when I admitted when I was wrong. Not sticking to my wrongness. I was looking at one thing, with specific verbage, and there are evidently multiple other things that say that I'm wrong. I'm cool with that.

My plan: Wet Okole covers and Weathertech mats while I wait for Bedtred or Armorlite floors to come out for the base model... Might even get a horse stall mat for the cargo area and cut a chunk to fit across the folded seats also. No freakouts here until B&P is active or my VB Bronco shows up in Plum Crazy or something.

I'm sorry but why in the world would you think that an "add" for a car that states washable interior would mean take a hose to the whole interior, there are electronics and a computer in your car. It just blows my mind .I'm sorry if that sounds rude but I'm a car guy and would never even cross my mind to do something like that regardless of what the car manufacturer states about washable interior. :/

A Ford rep confirmed today that the vinyl seats won't have carpeted backs
