Our '24 4-dr WT developed a new annoying squeak. Unlike the original squeak from hell (rear lower window seal, fixed with Sil-Glyd), this one definitely sounded like metal on metal, but it was aggravatingly intermittent and no source could be identified. After some months it became clear the squeak was predominantly when we had rear seat passenger(s) and it was clearly originating from the very back of the truck, seemingly from the right rear. It was so angering to have guests in the car and this horrible irritation of a squeak would start up and attack the rear passengers ears! Today after riding around in the cargo area for a few miles, I found the source! I'd loosened and retorqued the bumper three times trying to eliminate or minimize this squeak. Turns out, rear passengers (even my 115 pound mother-in-law) put enough flex in the body mount that the tailgate strut body end mount would contact the freaking Warn Elite Bumper in the tiniest little area. I decided to remove and grind the mount rather than the bumper since I could get a new mount for about $25 and it was easier to remove than the bumper. I ground about 0.03” off, put some touch up paint on it and the bumper...and voila, squeak gone. If you got a Warn Elite and a squeak, take a look here.
