Warn 8274 install

Like most of you I waited 2 years for my bronco. Buying parts and stacking them in the shop impatiently waiting to receive my new toy. I ordered my 2DR with the factory winch set up but ford zeroed it and my bronco went into production. Ok no biggie right? So I have had a few LOD bumpers over the years and have been happy. So I ordered the LOD defender. Then onto the winch? I think the ole 8274 would look killer on the new bronco. Ok now comes the head aches. The 8274 mounts from the front not the bottom. Out comes the torch to open the top of the bumper to clear the side gear of the winch. Then onto building up the bumper where I modified it to accept the 8274. With some 3/8”steel I was able to pick up the top 2 mounting holes and really beef up the bumper where I weakened it by cutting the top out. I also added a camera mount and fabricated an ACC mount to relocate it under the bumper.

I also had to order a camera cable extension and washer hose kit to extend the existing ones I was about a foot short of the factory stuff working

Quick question- Where did you source the extensions to relocate the camera?
Easy way for me is to buy a kit, modify the mounting bracket for my use.
Cheaper way is to make my own bracket and source the extensions.

Every bit of that I would guess 200 ish. My 2DR is 5500 pounds with a full tank

That makes more sense- I was looking online and thought that number was extremely low..

Nice fab work on the bumper modifications to accept the 8274, I dig it... The ACC mount, however, I'm not so fond of. I have no idea what kind of wheeling you anticipate, but the first time you push bumper-deep snow/mud or attempt a decent size rock face, that looks as though it will bend back/forth as you work for traction. I don't have any better ideas, that pesky ACC is the bane of our winch existence on these things, but maybe come up with a boxed-in solution just to keep it immobilized? Regardless, very nice work and I applaud your efforts

I’m not in love with it either (ACC) I’m going to armor it a bit more. It’s mounted now to a 1/4” plate now I’m thinking adding another 1/2-3/4” around the sensor but there’s really no good way to mount it?

This worked great easy plug and play. I would get the 3’ cable for the camera not the 6’ that I did

switching to Rope and a smooth alumium fairlead will lighten that up a bit.
