Ford never said that they would be deferred to 22 either.

That's for the allocation formula. Not a model year cutoff.

Maybe... now, I know some people like to say "tinfoil hat" when I explain workarounds, but the dealer could have used an employee reservation to order his Bronco and will take the hit as 1 out of 15/16 is well under the 20% rule.

...and holy shirt balls! My prophecy has been fulfilled and people are getting their Broncos before reservation holders via dealer ass-hattery. There's a possibility we get 13,999 more stories just like this...improbable, though.

I'm in the same situation as you and was told I'm #5. However, I haven't received any Order Confirmation from Ford Canada yet.

Did you get any Order Confirmation email?

I received from them a sales order with priority code 10, although I know that doesn't mean anything. I have been a bit skeptical from reading through these forums. I will add it is a longtime friend of mine who is my sales rep as well

With No Reservation you probably would be lucky to get a late 22MY if not even a 23MY as they are filling all reservations in the order they came in and then dealers can open up regular orders.

They actually didn’t say that either...they only said 50% of the dealer allocation formula would be based on converted reservations made before Sep 19th. That didn’t mean a dealer with a favorable allocation couldn’t fill converted reservations made after that date. They can.

The Sep date was only put in place for allocation formula purposes to prevent dealers from loading up October reservations to build up allocation (i.e. the Granger October surprise). Theoretically if a person makes a reservation today and converts it tomorrow and the dealer gets enough allocations, he will get a MY21 Bronco.

So my local dealer has just built and relocated to a brand new build and location in town. So wife and I roll in and order a new Bronco (a week ago). We where told by them that this was the first Bronco ordered through there store. They have ordered 15 bronco sports but mine is the first big Bronco. They sell about 80 to 100 cars a month. When do you think I will see it? They say they have no idea because it’s the first order (had no reservations). It’s a loaded Wildtrak with all available options. Since I didn’t pre reserve. I’m lost on where I might fall into the line. Any in site??? Order has been sent to Ford. I have that paperwork.

Probably before the rest of us suckers who put in a July 2020 res!! That would be HILARIOUS!!

I'm thinking it is semantics right now. Dealers that are thinking outside the box will "order" on the spot by creating a reservation and converting it while the customer is sitting there in the showroom.

As long as they are being honest with the customer about what true expectations should be then I consider it a fair practice.

Maybe it was the "presentation" of the thread start? That other person (people) were up front "Look at me, in going to pork the rules and the heck with you". The OP started in as more innocent fashion of "Is this even really possible".

Not saying that it is RIGHT to do it, if it is trying to jump the line.

The dealer though, well, now we know the name and people can call and question them about how the system works (not harass them about perceived impropriety).
