May I ask where this flow chart came from...Ford?
It came from me and my laptop.

Anyway, @BigFootie is correct. I created the 2022 chart after I continually saw people getting screwed over by their dealers when it comes to price protection. In many cases there was no malicious intent by the dealers... they themselves obviously had no idea how it works. But in some cases there were dealers taking advantage of people by cheating Ford's price protection system. That 2022 chart seemed helpful to people, so I created it again for 2023.

I am from a Ford family—my father is a retired Ford engineer and I know several people who still work for Ford. I also personally applied for a job at Ford this past summer and was about to begin the interview process, but shortly afterwards Ford announced a round of layoffs (definitely dodged a bullet). So it is important to note that while I am familiar FMC and many of the inner workings, I am not an authoritative source on the subject, and I have no direct affiliation with Ford. All I'm really doing is taking the documentation that Ford provides to dealers—which clearly some dealers don't read—collecting it, and presenting it on this forum so people know what the heck is going on.

In an ideal world these posts would be unnecessary and your dealer would be able to do it all. Ford's long-standing stance is we are all customers of the dealers, and therefore dealers should handle the customer communication. Which I definitely don't disagree with... BUT... we've all seen how well that has gone (or hasn't gone, I guess) the past 2-3 years. Hopefully there won't be a 2024 edition of this flowchart.

Continuing the appreciation for @RagnarKon, your charts perfectly guided me to $3k+ of additional savings that I would likely not have received otherwise! Massively appreciate the effort and continued support of the community!

Well you are a good person for doing this and it is much appreciated by all.

I wish my dealer could understand the process but I'm having trouble on the retail portion of the total. They claim it was in affect but no longer is available to them. I tried to correct them but have seemed to hit a wall. Not happy with the process I am hoping for the best. Any last advice as I try to hold them to the retail protection I qualify for?

You could show them this post, but if we are being honest this post to your dealer is nothing more than "random guy on internet posts random numbers and lines".

You may want to spend some time looking at @FordVideoGuy's and @Sarah Davis' YouTube channel. They work at a dealership in central Kansas and have multiple videos on the subject. You could send them those videos and that may be more believable to your dealer than a post on this forum.

What they should be doing is contacting their Ford inventory manager for information, but obviously you cannot do that for them, they have to do it themselves.

Thans! I have done all the above but ask them to contact the Ford inventory manager. I will try that next as they claim their ford rep told them it is not available.

I would not at all be surprised if their Ford rep is busy... many of those layoffs this pass summer impacted the organization within Ford that handles dealer relationships.

But honestly it almost sounds like your dealer has no desire to really dig into this for you. Which absolutely sucks, no doubt about that. Ford has no ability to force dealers to apply price protection since dealers are independent businesses... so may ultimately be of those things where you just take the loss, leave the dealer a bad review, and never to business with that dealer again.

Good luck!!

Though I agree with what you said I still have hope and will hold my ground! Thanks again for information.

Flowchart has been updated to account for the upcoming April 10th price increases.

I did re-arrange the flowchart a bit to keep the size down, but unless you ordered a Heritage Edition Bronco, nothing has changed.

(Hopefully this is the last price increase because we are quickly approaching the image size limit of this forum software.)

A member on the forum created it based on information supplied by Ford over the past few years. This was not created by Ford. All they have created has been confusion.
LOL, to borrow from Sheryl Crow, us to Ford - "You don't bring us anything but down" 🤣

Thanks to everyone who helped me with the mid year price increase protection documents. Took 5 days but my dealer finally said I’m price protected to my original DORA. The mid year price increases totaled $4350 for me. The mid year transition private offer was only $2395. Peanuts compared to the mid year increases 🙌🏽 my bronco is coming at $6745 less than sticker and should be ready for pickup by Wednesday

Yes, they claim retail price protection is over.:(
Even showing them the two documents dated Feb 2023 and march 2023 specifically stating you’re eligible for price protection?

Yep, I don't have the march doc but have April doc and they still claim its expired. I told them to speak to the inventory manager @ Ford and am waiting for a call back now.
