Transmission Cooler/Transmission Bypass

Hi Guys,

Has anyone installed a transmission cooler on the Bronco Raptor or found a company that sells a transmission thermostat bypass? When pushing the BRaptor in the dunes the transmission temps go beyond 240 Fahrenheit. Hence a bypass and a cooler are crucial for me.

Wow, that is hot. 230 intermittent is probably OK, but probably not 240. Does it go into limp mode at 260?

Whatever you do don't run the trans too cool. It is designed to run consistently between 195°F - 215°F (see below).

I'd love a trans cooler too. Even in the desert it gets hit after going hard for a while. Although so does oil. Water seems to stay cool enough

Here's a bypass.

I haven't seen any coolers. You'll have to do a custom setup

Again, per post #2, all of the 10Rs are designed to run much hotter than other transmissions. Read the article! If you stay under 230°F, I'd stay away from these thermal bypass devices.
