Pulling a 115# winch out of the back will be even harder when you have to lean in another couple feet. Getting things in and out of my early Bronco is no fun while pulling the tailgate over to the side in my Samurai is relatively easy and it has a 75# wheel and tire on it. It would certainly have its benefits when using it as a table though.
But you don't have to mount winch that far in. This is how I had mine mounted back in the day. Everything in there was hard mounted to floor (including light duty rec mount bolted to floor).

Is there anyone on the forum that is willing to make even a swing gate, no spare mounting holes, no vent cut outs with the 1st gen FORD style lettering stamped into the tailgate? I’ll buy it many other will to. Anyone?
