I had my hitch installed at the dealer as well and I have all the trailer options except the light check. I thought I was supposed to get the light option and noticed when I picked up the truck that it wasn't there. The technician came out and reinstalled the software again, showing me while he did it and the light check still didn't come back. I guess I'm going to have to wait until I can use Forscan to get it. Oh well!

The first picture is from the app. To confirm, you aren't seeing this?

Are you seeing the second picture once you go into the Features option on the infotainment screen?

The third picture is what you see once you select "Towing".

If you can see what is in the second and third pictures, then the vehicle has been programmed and it is aware that it has the towing option, and the problem is with the app.

I have a ‘25 and had the OEM tow hitch on the window sticker. Dealer had an outside tech install it a couple of weeks after I took delivery in April.

I have the trailer light check option on the app as well as the Towing menu in the infotainment display.

The latest iOS 26 version of the app just says “Ford” by the way. They dropped the “Pass” from the name.

If you want to pass on the dealership programming, you can set up the tow package with Forscan. I did mine and it’s all functional, including trailer light check. Some people have had issues with the trailer light check when setup with Forscan, not sure why.

My infotainment Tow Screen appears like yours but I don't get the trailer light check in the app. My brother's '22 Outer Banks shows this.

Interesting. Would be interested if others have the light check on the instrument panel. I suppose it's possible that there may have been changes to the firmware where it's no longer visible on the infotainment screen if it's on the app.

I don't have an explanation for that. However it does seem that they have enabled the tow features on your Bronco otherwise you wouldn't see them on the screen.

Yes, I had the Ford Pass app that was changed to just Ford recently. The only difference I can see is that you have an Apple device while mine is Android, so I'm wondering if there's something about Android or Samsung that will prevents it from working with my version.

Unfortunately, I can't answer that for you but there are others here thay work for Ford such as @Ducati1098 that may chime in with that answer.

No. It is always there.

As for it showing up on the infotainment screen, I wondered if it would only show up if the vehicle recognized a trailer was attached, so I went out and connected a trailer we have here at work to my Bronco. I did get a dash message stating that the truck recognized a trailer connection and took me to the towing screen, but the trailer light testing option wasn't there.

I was able to do the trailer light test from the app, and I also was able to confirm that the rear parking sensors and cross traffic alerts were off when I put the vehicle in reverse.

Maybe. But I would need the engineering number off of a 25 module to see.

Nope, all the time. I haven’t even put a ball on mine yet.

Just make sure you change the air in the tires before hooking up the 5th wheel to it.
