Does anyone know what size tires you can put on a base model without having to make any modifications? My original bronco I ordered was deleted out of the dealships system so all my specs were deleted and now I have a base model coming. I’m trying to see what I can do to make my base model look a little more attractive.

If I had a base model coming, I would look to buy some takeoffs off of a big bend or black diamond. That will get you 17-in wheels and better tires for a lot less than buying new wheels and tires.

Good call, I’ll have to look into that. Are those readily available?

Search engine...or just head over to the marketplace section of the forum. My wife's base got some takeoffs from here off of a donor BD. Definitely, the way to go.

285/75 R16 is the biggest you can put on the base wheels. So I was told at the Discount Tire I went to. Pics for you to see what it looks like. 2in leveling kit as well.

The Base steelie is the limiting factor because it is so skinny at 7" wide.
Other factory take offs are a great move on the cheap .... also Ranger wheels.
Get into the 17 x 7.5 or 8 or 8.5 and the vast majority of tires AT or MT tires will fit the wheel.

NOW ... what will fit the Bronco?
If you do not intend to wheel hard, I have seen several, including my own, fit 35" tires on the Base with NO LIFT.

I bought Method 17 x 8.5 wheels with a +35mm offset and Toyo 35 x 11.5 Open Country AT3.
This set up works with my manual and 4.46 gears, but it is a touch under geared now.
It actually drives better than it did on 30" tires, where it felt VERY over geared.
If you have an auto, maybe consider stopping at a 33" tire ... but I may be wrong.

Here is a 35 x 12,5 on factory Ranger wheels, NO LIFT, one of my favorites.
