There are threaded inserts on the rear of the roll cage. Does anyone know what size thread these are? For SAE sizes, my closest fit is 5/16 x 18, but it is very tight (paint?). For Metric sizes, M6 is too small and M8 is too large. I have an odd-ball Metric tap that is M7 x 1.0 that fits the best but cannot seem to find any M7 machine screws.

The one pic I can see in the catalogue is for a Raptor rear brace and it shows M8.

There is a thread somewhere in which a user mounted a highlift Jack using those holes. Pretty sure that thread included the hardware used.

DING, DING, DING, DING, DING, DING……
Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a winner!
M8 x 1.25 it is. My M8 x 1.25 tap slides right in. Don’t know how I missed it!

Thanks!

Dig the idea. I would add a couple Velcro straps though. That will vibrate loose eventually.
Though I don’t get off the road much in it anymore, the one I have mounted on the 50‘ Willys, on its side, has held up for many, many, many, many years. The Willys stiff suspension (or lack of it) and the concrete streets here in Houston pound the crap out of it!
