I couldn’t give a rats ass what others think. I use my truck as hard as others, and tougher than many, but it still looks new with few signs it’s not. My Bronco will be the same.
I take care of my stuff because I want to, and besides, IMHO it’s just plain stupid to spend 10’s of thousands of $$ and not maintain it, particularly if your concerned what others think and if they might call it a mall crawler or whatever.
Those who spend their time coming up with jackass names like mall crawler are assheads anyway.

One thought: maybe don't go to the mall...

Just because you keep it "nice" doesn't mean you don't use it. Everyone will judge people from their view (see comments re: wheel dings and scratches to show you are a true 'wheeler'). That is their issue, but they are living rent free in your head. Your money, do what you want, and what makes you comfortable and brings you joy.

Nobody is going to take your "man-card" if your Bronco is clean. A good craftsman takes care of his tools.

The other answer is to just keep going to Roadeos and driving Ford's Bronco's on all the nasty stuff if you really want the experience without the scars... ;)

According to some videos I saw they are making black off-roading body panels than can be changed out pretty easily.

Take an hour before and after the off-road trip to swap out the body panels and that should help you out.Just don’t mess up and scratch/dent the hood.

Holly hell! You guys really have NOTHING to do. Bronco6g is the really the worst. A lot of members here just post some crazy shit. And we have another 6-7 months of this nonsense until delivery.

Lol, yeah bored and waiting for my Bronco...probably should get used to it since the more delays there are in production, the more people will dream shit up like this....course you could drop your 6g account and become more refined over at that “other site.”

If you are worried about what other people think of your reason for buying a Bronco then maybe you should get a bus pass instead.

The POINT is that as my Ford manager said, 90% of Broncos will never leave the pavement. Sad.

When you sell a thousand+ Ford trucks a year you'd think you'd get a grip on how they are used.

I love my new Bronco but I don't want to beat the sht out of it as I know what abuse can do. Can I have my cake and eat it too?

That's the point. If I saw a 9.99 street Mustang I'd be wondering what part is going to explode next - and yet I'd be dying to try that without the cost. You wanna play, you gotta pay, I know. But that pay is mucho $$$$.

Apparently, I'm thinking Mustang when I should be thinking Bronco. So, thank you for that. I'll try not to cringe when I put the first dent in it or all 4 wheels get some airtime.

It won't be easy but that's what I wanted to know - do you all believe in Ford Tough or is it just a slogan for pretty boys? How do you keep your truck looking and driving awesome and still banging off the road, or is that not possible? I gotta keep pumping $ into this thing?

I appreciate your thoughts.

Well you could just pull the top off and take out the doors and just drive around like that all the time. Or you could just stop caring what other people think.

You should definitely carry a roof top tent and enough expedition gear to traverse the Sahara. Oh and enough additional lighting to bring daylight to the Mariana Trench. And an 8" lift and 40" tires. Do that year round and then they'll just know you're totes a serious off-roader.

You can buy some Bronco Mud on Amazon and throw some on your Bronco from time to time:)

OK they don't sell that yet. Maybe after people start receiving their Broncos.....
Free Texas heavy clay mud, gum up your tires like the pros, pay shipping only, $99 per gallon, minimum order 5 gallons.

The best way to not get stressed out about beating the hell out a new $50k Bronco is to buy a new $30k "base Bronco".

first chance I get I will be leaving the pavement whether there is a road/trail there or not. Maybe even take a shortcut out of the dealership
