Thinking about picking up a 23 raptor bronco. ..

Looking to join the bronco community. I found a red 23, with 32k miles, pretty fully loaded. This would be a second vehicle, so grocery getter and off roading. Is there anything in particular I should look out for? After a bit of negotiating, they are at $68500, no other fees, just the taxes and registration. Let me know what you all think, thank you.

Yeah, I agree, but it's really the only one under 70k in my region, and the color I want. The mileage is a bit high. Is there anything it's missing or should look out for?

The raptor is pretty much already stacked no matter what. I actually sought out a raptor without the extras on your sticker. Sort of a 'base' raptor if you will, which still has every offroad feature, lux package, upgraded audio system... So you're good in that regard. The gas mileage is ass if you care about that but as you said it's your smiles per gallon ride.

I agree….its a bit high for the mileage. I mean there’s a white one in Gilbert right now with 13k on it fully loaded leather/ and carbon accents asking 70. A bit of negotiation and you could probably get close to the Code Orange you’re looking at.

I saw that one. It looked great, but I really love bright colors. Is it a terrible deal?

I mean personally I wouldn’t say it’s a “terrible deal” but you’re gonna be paying over market value for a vehicle that only has 3000 miles before it falls out of factory warranty. Hard to say how rough it’s been handled over those 32k miles. You could always get an extended warranty before factory runs out, but I wouldn’t pay that for the mileage. I would rather spend 70-72k for lower mileage and have a better peace of mind. I think fair price should be around 65-66.5k, assuming the vehicle is in great condition. But then again, it’s your money, if you really like it and that’s what you want then go for it. FYI I bought my ‘23 Code Orange fully loaded with 13000 miles on it for $69.5

I had the same thoughts when I started looking for mine back in the spring, I was not going to pay 100K for one no matter how nice it was. I also wasn’t going to spend over 60K on a used one, because who knows how hard those miles were. Ultimately with that used one you will be within 10K of what I paid for my 2025 with 108 miles on it, if you can swing the new one linked you will probably end up out the door for less then what I paid for mine.

Just fyi that’s Code Orange, not red. Price is high for the mileage. I’d see if they can add you extended warranty into the deal, or if it’s a Ford dealer, get it certified. That’ll give you 7 years 100k miles.

Price too high. You can get brand new leftover for a bit more but you have to be patient and shop around hard. Be willing to travel for the deal. even a cheap plane ticket would be worth it.

I paid about the same for a used 2023 with 13K miles, one that hadn't been registered until January of 2024 and came with about $4K in aftermarket parts like retractable side steps and a bunch of other goodies. It was maxed out in the options department except for the graphics package which I didn't want anyway.

I would have killed for a red or code orange one so there's that. I ended up with a great deal and a great Raptor albeit in a safe color.

I'd maybe walk away and let them know you're thinking about it hard. Let em know you want it but you're hesitant and are going to look around. Give it a few days and they'll likely call you with a better deal.

With that said, if you don't plan on tuning it, I'd figure in the cost of an extended warranty through someone like Granger Ford. And PLEASE look at the top on it with a magnifying glass. The MIC tops are known to develop cracks and Ford WILL NOT replace the top on their dime after the initial warranty expires. They are not covered by the extended warranty. Look around the rear glass as the top seems to be particularly prone to cracks in that area.

I’ve had my HPR for 1 year next month. It’s a 2023, but was new on the dealers lot at the end of 2024. I paid $68k for it, and it has every option listed on your sticker. The original MSRP was $99,900.

That's the thing, in AZ area, there isn't much in that price range, and I'm not really looking to travel further then Cali at the moment.
