I am planning to install a red LED light on the back of my OB. Can I tap into the taillights and if so any direction plus which wire to tap into?

Here is the wiring diagram for the rear LED lights…

Easiest to just remove the trim on the driver’s side tail light and tap into the wiring there to run your wiring for your new light.

Review any video online for trailer hitch wiring and that should provide the details you need.

Budget Bronco is a contributor here and the tail light removal begins a 7:27 in the video below

I tapped into the back up lighting circuit per instructions from 4x4LEDs.com. Removing the tail light and trim is easier if you have the shop drawing…which I now can’t find…

Yes with this harness: https://www.4x4truckleds.com/diode-...light-wiring-harness-kit-for-2021-ford-bronco

We have them in stock so they ship out right away from us. We use these on local installations for our reverse kit.

Your light may not have a 4-pin connector, no problem. You just care about the plug and play aspect of the in-line connection.

Pop the driver or passenger side trim out from inside (2 bolts + 4 screws). Then plug this in-line with the factory tail harness, and drop your wire down past the bumper. REAL easy.

Cut off the extra wiring you won't use, that's what we do. Then put on whatever plug/connector you desire.

SIMPLE. No cutting (factory wires) or splicing (factory wires).

The kit includes some extras, but I never use those. I just cut the wire off and put my own plug on

Do you have a harness or connector for the KC Hilites multifunction rear light bar that can plug into the taillight without cutting wires?

https://www.kchilites.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=multifunction light
No, it would require a custom harness costing about $150. It would have to be built since we need signals from both the driver and passenger side. Right now our tail light harnesses only have signals for 1 side only (as they are used for reverse kits mainly) but since the chase light has a left/right indicator that would be different. The harness would also have a lead that would go to the rear upfitter wire (which is a pass through wire and would require connection under the glove box/foot well area to another pass through wire, and then finally a connection in your engine bay). This is so you can active the amber chase light function as well.

Are you able to manufacture one of those harnesses?

Sorry we don't offer custom work outside our NY store and only when we're doing the installation

Would this harness work to connect my turn offroad flush mount bumper lights to come on when in reverse?
