Tailgate not locking

My tailgate will not lock when using the button or key fob. Proximaty works on the back handle and it shows the tailgate closed on the dash. Does anyone think the latch is bad? Is that a known issue with the broncos?

Could it be from the handle upgrade you did?

Exactly the same with my tailgate handle. My service dept had to replace the handle. No explanation for the failure.

It was working fine and I can lock the truck with the button on the tailgate just not the tailgate.

I did install the oem hitch, could that be an issue?

Did you unplug the antenna for the auto lock/unlock?

I just checked and it is plugged in, not sure what is going on

When experimenting with Forscan awhile back looking through the options for my 2 door big bend, I recall an option that said something like "2 door" vs "4 door". Not sure it was these exactly but something like it. My setting at that time was 4 door and I switched it to 2 door thinking that's what I own. When I did it, the rear lock button on the tailgate handle stopped locking the truck. I switched it back to 4 door and it worked normally again. Just a thought.

Thanks, I checked and my 2 door is set to 4 door so I left it like it is.

I did install the oem hitch, could that be an issue?

Did you program it? I installed the OEM hitch kit and it did mess up the rear proximity alert. Took it to the dealer and had it programmed and that issue vanished. No problems with the handle or locking.

Yes I programmed it, ran test in Forscan and it just stays locked even though it is not locked, never changes with the handle or key fob, like I said I can unlock and lock the doors except the tailgate with the tailgate handle

Tested with multimeter
Pins 1-2 I get 12.3 v
Pin 3 I get 0.00
Pin 4 I get 5.55 v

does anyone have a pin diagram for the harness?
