Switch out Automatic Shift Boot for Aftermarket Boot?

Has anyone switched out the factory shift boot on a Automatic to a Redline or any other brand. Or does any one know how get the factory boot off and new one on or have a link to a video for direction, just don't want to break the Shifter (Automatic not a Manual) Thanks

Yes, I switched out the OEM for one from Redline. It is the same process as the manual shifter to remove the bottom portion of the boot. There are two screws on the front of the post holding the gear knob on that are exposed once you lift up the boot. Remove those and then the entire boot/knob should come off. Pay close attention to how you remove everything, and it will go back together fairly easily.

Redline has instructions on their site that are somewhat helpful:

I do recommend using upholstery adhesive to glue the new boot to the plastic frames. It helps tremendously.
