Hey! I am a student conducting a design project centered on the Ford Bronco. I have built a survey around after-market parts, and I would greatly appreciate anyone who can fill it out. The entire test consists of 10 questions and should take approximately 2 minutes to complete. Your insight will really help bring my project to life! Thanks!

Interesting... a "student" that owns a Lexus 350 RX and a Bronco....
Haha, I am 22 and Air Force, and have worked through college so far. I buy my cars used with a decent amount of mileage and do my own maintenance. Definitely not the norm, but I worked for it.

Then you should know that any modifications to a bronco are a loosing proposition. The money you put into modifications you typically not get back.

Good man pursuing your education. My son in law is is up is a tech Sgt and up for Master... Been in for 14 years now. Has his own construction company on the side.... These days it is no education no promotion... I wish you the best in your pursuit here. I will go back and take your questionnaire.

Tried to help ya with the survey @MarcoL, but I own a Ranger 6G. Ask me about aftermarket accessories, or the lack of aftermarket accessories.

Yessir, it definitely has its cons. That is partially what led me to my current concept for my senior project.
I am actually designing a disaster response kit for the Bronco that will be available to the general consumers and Bronco enthusiasts. My concept is to find a loophole for Ford brand parts to be dealer-installed/purchased to avoid breaking warrenty issues. Essentially, creating an ecosystem where we can design unique Broncos that actually hold value because they are still technically "factory."

Congrats to your son in law! I hope he gets the promotion and all goes smoothly!

A couple of comments:

identifying "Ford" aftermarket parts as "Ford" is often a bit misleading because they typically are third party parts just resold by Ford.... So... do I identify them as Ford or not... (personally I typically go straight to the manufacture and cut out the middle man.)

Question #7... add "Design" and possibly "reputation" or even "reviews" or "recommendations"

You might also allow a open comment area... people will volunteer information you had not even thought of and can help guide "qualifying questions" when they try and explain themselves.

If this is the case then why are you not asking about "warranty" Is it important in your choice of aftermarket parts?

Also... You are not going to get FORD to warranty a product someone else is manufacturing as a dealer sold add on... Any warrantee on those parts is by the part manufacturer... Ford often requires them to offer their own warrantee before Ford will offer the part through their resale efforts.

Besides... A dealer installed disaster response kit? Not sure what you are installing there that would have ANY effect on the Bronco warrantee. (not asking I understand you may want to keep that under wraps until offered)... Hence you would offer your own part warrantee.

Thank you for all of your previous points and tweaks! I am actively adjusting the next draft of the survey. The warranty was recently brought up to my attention by one of the Bronco designers from Ford. I am currently attempting to work this Idea up to the guys in Detroit, to become a designer for Ford in the future. Ideally this will be integrated into the already existing Ford ecosystem and I license my idea out to them for production and installation.

No place on the survey for making your own parts.

Might add something about Ford Performance parts availability, I have to drive about two hours, one way, to get to a Ford dealer who accepts delivery and will install if needed Ford parts.

Whutt has a great point. While there are a few close Ford Dealers to me, I need to drive considerable distances to get to dealers that either receive parts from Ford that I can pick up (like my roof rack) or that will do installations. For example, I need to go out of state to do the performance tune to my Bronco because no other dealer does that.

Hi, I'm a systems analyst as well as an interface designer so it struck me as odd the way you partitioned/grouped the options for the first question about Bronco model year. Why not list each year on its own? (Aside from it not looking inconsistent, it would provide you a richer data set when it comes to filtering/sorting on that criteria) And PS, 2026 is missing...
