Ford does the flares and corners separately. That paint formula is different from what Penske sprays and has a flex agent necessary for these plastic parts.

Excellent, and the way it should have come from the factory as a Stroppe homage.

M/T kidney beans next?

The offset is way off. I wanted a set but the poke is too much for me.

I did not notice a poke issue with my set. Hmm, let me post a pic. Now if you are meaning the depth of the wheels, yea, that isn't like what we have or had on our old gen 1 bronco's.

You have been killing me with this project. First, I'm waiting for this recall fiasco to be over to take delivery of my own Stroppe, Number 066. Second, I like vehicles in original condition when they're limited production examples. However your changes are exactly what the Stroppes need to look "right", and after seeing these pictures, I feel compelled to do some of the same color changes. The top is amazing and makes it so much better. And as stated before, we don't even want to mention the black tailgate!

Enjoy your Stroppe. I'm glad you're happy and we would love to see more pictures when you hit the road.

Thanks,

Yeah I know some are probably crying into their pillow that I "ruined" it, it's a "collector / Limited edition" but in the end its mine and everything I did to it was paint... If I ever sell it and someone wants it "original" they can have it repainted, how many OG classic Stroppes are repainted vs original paint. But ultimately I think all the modifications and changes make it look and pay respect to the originals more now than before.

Not to mention the after market stuff under the hood I have done...

More mods to come soon.

Thanks,
Craig M " 87 BAJA"

Pish... Our trucks are our trucks to do with as we want. I have zero issues with what I've done to my truck to make me happy, including yea, painting the rear tail gate. Someone is misled if they think the original Stroppes were not tinkered with, modified, altered. They did it back then, we can do it now. My 2c, though we probably need to change that phrase now that they're eliminating the penny.

It's like the people saying that the Heritage Edition broncos are ruined because someone swapped out the stock wheels or added a soft top.
People are ridiculous.

I haven't modded mine in anyway that is not easily reversable. The grill and rear bumper were taken off and packed away for a future buyer. I bought another tailgate, which is the one I had painted, the black one is in the rafters. Most everything else is bolt-on. But I'll probably croak before Im ready to sell it.

I'm not convinced there's been a Gen6 Bronco made yet that will be collectable to the point that the money invested will return more than if the money was put in an index fund. Buy, customize, use, enjoy. That's a greater return on investment than buy, let it sit, and sell later.

Tits. Nicely done.

The Stroppes have been marked way down for a reason. You understood the reason and took appropriate action with great results.

Yep I highly doubt anyone will be restoring a 6G Bronco 50 years from now.
