What are you running for an amp? Thanks
in mine I'm running an Rockford Fosgate T1000 X5adb 5 channel amp. For the sub and the forefront speakers. The robber speakers or powered by the stock head unit

How would these compare to the MTI enclosures with the JL 12?

I replaced every speaker in my non-B&O 6 speaker system with the Kicker KS series, Audiocontrol Lc-5 1300 watt 5 channel amp with the harness from plugnplaykits.com and the Stinger swing gate mounted sub. First impression on the sub is that it hits hard and is very clear. I do get some rattling on certain low tones but i can adjust them out with the bass control nob (which is a must in my opinion). I will be adjusting the crossovers in the amp and putting more sound deadening to get things just right. I think for the speaker and enclosure $500 was money well spent and I'm happy with my purchase so far.

Looking to get the same package was wondering how install went such as any tips and things to look out for. Example being anything kit did not include or if you had to make something happen. Also is the rattling mostly coming from the swingate itself? Thank you

When you install the Stinger, do you disconnect the B&O sub?

Great question - I was wondering this too. If you used the PlugNPlay T harness and added the Musway or Kicker amp to power a Stinger or other tailgate sub, then presumably you could leave the factory B&O subwoofer running. It might even sound decent because you could leave the bass settings on the head unit set to flat and dial in your bass using the separate bass adjustment knob with your new sub amp. Would be great to see what others have done that installed the Stinger or other tailgate subs to Bronco's with the factory B&O

Mine was delivered today. Working out tining first install along with the rest of the upgrades. Bumping the front and rear to 6.75" punch series RF 8n front too and rear.

As a concept it sounds good - MOAR power! - but you might be disappointed with the sound that results from having those two subs active in the same tiny space without spending a good amount of time measuring and tuning. Just my $0.02 worth, don't spend it all on the same tariff! :)

Doh! Saw the post made today and scrolled back to refresh my memory and didn't notice the date on the one to which I replied. 🥴
Glad it worked out for you in the end. I've been following the Gearshade/Additive sub box and that's what I'd choose today if I was pulling the trigger.

I think you will really like it. He makes a great sub box. I went for the square set up and a Kicker 500.1 amp to power it. The B&O amp mounts right on the box too so you don’t know it’s there. Also bought the plugnplay harness - what a breeze. Highly recommend this set up if you decide to move forward. I think you’ll be very happy for the money spent 👍
