2nd round of the passenger side replacement head. Bad lifter again. 2nd round of the same oring issue leaking out all the freon. 2nd round of a top that pours in all over the dash in a heavy rain. Bought new 2/10/24 and this is the 4th round of repairs totaling so far in 6 months of ownership......49 days in the shop and counting. I think I've definitely surpassed the 30 day out of comission lemon law and I'm fixing to have multiple of the 3 same issues. Can ford not drop in a new 2.7? If the don't want it back through lemon law someone better stop putting the same junk parts in. QC...ford....bring back your QC department. Some turds just need to be flushed.

Sorry for the headaches.
Out of interest, what day of the week was your Bronco built? Wondering if the old Monday / Friday build date lore holds true

Best wishes for a real solution for you 🤠

What does the head have to do with replacing a lifter? Probably when they did the head the first time, they screwed up the AC lines. Sounds like you need to find a new dealer.

Hi there, Chris. This lifter & A/C concern doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience with your Bronco. Should you need further assistance please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? To send a private message, just click on our username and select "Start Conversation". I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you on my end.

Not sure. They said it's the same side, same lifter and same oring that leaked out the freon. It's crazy...when I picked it up from the first half engine rebuild, I drove away with a slight knocking sound. The Service manager said it was the high pressure fuel pump. I kinda knew better but what the heck...right. We went to Maggie Valley to the Broncos in the valley and other 2.7's didn't have my knocking sound. Now they say, well its the same lifter....go figure.

Sorry to hear about your issues OP. Bronco build date is not the same as engine build date so it's possible the engine was built on a Monday or Friday.

Ask the SM about LTIS. Don't know all the specifics but second go at the same issue it should really be getting a head this time or get with the zone manager or hotline to see if this warrants a long block. LTIS (low time in service) is more for an internal issue to the short block instead of doing a complete teardown, cost cap and just fixing the minimum. The exclusion to LTIS is if it's only a head, timing components, pan or other minimally invasive/cost effective repairs.

If it's the same a/c connection leaking it might need a new line or manifold depending where it's at. This is making the assumption there isn't an underlying problem with pressures being too high and that's just the weak area where it blows out.

True, but I was more looking into the top leaking issue.
