Starlink mounting location question

i guess I’d have to put it ina case to add the magnets?

I checked on Amazon and the one I bought isnt available now but they have something similar. The one I bought had two strong magnets and the mini doesn’t move. The new stargear has four magnets. No case needed if mounted inside on a self or tray. In fact, we tried the mini just sitting on the shelf in the back cargo area without the magnet mount and the signal was strong.
