I also have issues with my brakes sqeaking/grinding when I stop. It happens randomly when stopping on flat surfaces but its especially loud when I stop on a decline. I took it to my local dealership and had a service member ride with me and was told "that's normal road noise, turn up your radio and you won't hear it. All cars do that". Umm, excuse me!! None of my other cars have EVER made this noise. They have already worked on the brakes for the grinding issue when backing up, and fixed another loud sqealing noise a few months ago, but this is a different noise. I am now going to have to drive an hour away to take it to a different dealership. I am attaching a video I took where you can hear the sound. Does that sound like normal road noise to anyone else? Anyone have any suggestions on what I need to do.

I'll add my BRaptor to the list of vehicles with this same problem.
Same symptoms as described by others - happens at slow speeds and usually after it has been idle for a while. Mine also started a few thousand miles after I got it, but I didn't pay attention to exactly when.
I also have not spent the time to figure out if it is coming from the front or back.

Now I am curious if all models of broncos share the same drum, rotor and pads.

I hate the sound, and agree that it is not the reason I want heads to turn when looking at my vehicle, but I've been waiting for something else to go wrong to justify spending the time taking it to the dealer. Grinding is bad, but squealing is often cosmetic.

The dealer will more than likely not do anything for you and Ford never got back to me. It was just easier to do it myself and after sanding down my pads (a lot) and rotors, the squealing and grinding never returned. The downside is that I know I’m going to have to replace my pads soon.

That sounds more like shudder, due to the wet conditions you are driving in… and that headliner is of a Bronco Sport (I am guessing).

Across the Non Braptor Models, I believe that the brakes are the same.

The Braptor has different Knuckles and a different Rear Axle, so it’s possible that there is a difference from Bronco to Braptor - especially considering more HP and bigger tire generally yields more braking force required.

Just so I can be a bit helpful, I also want to point you in the best direction for forum posts.
You may want to create an account over on https://www.broncosportforum.com/ .
It's a sister site, so the function and overall site feel is very similar.

Best of luck on your brake issues, and have fun with that Bronco Sport.
Be sure to hit some trails with it!

Going to chime in here. My 2023 Wildtrak brakes having been squeaking and squealing away for the last 5k miles. I have 15,500 right now. I had it in at the dealership at 10k miles. I told them it was ridiculous that my brand new brakes were squeaking at 10,000 miles. They ‘visually inspected’ them and said that there was plenty of pad left (ya no joke- it’s a new vehicle), and sent me on my way.

It’s ridiculous. How is this acceptable Ford? It’s embarrassing to squeal my way through every public place sounding like a hot pile of trash.

It’s a simple fix and I’m not sure why Ford isn’t acknowledging it and fixing it. They don’t even need to turn the rotors, a simple sanding on both the rotor and pad fixes this issue.

Ya it sucks. We shouldn’t have to do it ourselves. Guess that’s what I’ll be doing this week…

That's really all that's needed? Mine screech pretty bad the first 3-4 times I use it in the morning.

i don't know what the difference is between the spray brake cleaner vs the spray anti-squeak. Growing up my dads garage always has both so on the rare occasions i did get squeak or squeal, i'd hit it with the cleaner, then hit it with the anti-squeak and it always seemed to work out.

Interesting. How does this product work? Is it different than any other brake cleaner spray?

Two fold problem here. First brake pads and clutches for that matter used to have asbestos in them since they can't do that anymore pads are not as heat resistant as the used to be (asbestos is a heat insulating material) so heat build up changes the pads properties and allows for glazing thereby causing squealing. Second and this will ruffle some feathers the average driver isn't as good as they think they are. They drive too aggressively and wait too long to apply brakes when stopping there by generating the excessive heat the that causes the problem in the first place. Squeaking brakes while annoying are not generally a safety issue that's why Ford most likely isn't concerned. If the tech can't duplicate the issue perhaps they are driving more conservatively than you are while they are test driving. I'm around several 6g's and the OP is the first I've heard of this.
