Speakers not working after a rain storm

So, a couple of weeks ago I left the soft op open on my 2021 OBX during a downpour.
Came out to a wet, but not completely swamped interior. After drying everything over the next day, all of the electronics were working just fine. However, the speakers have not turned back on. Everything else works on the nav screen (bluetooth, maps, etc), but the speaker button display is greyed-out and no sound is coming from the speakers.
I've replaced the fuses (F31 and F32 in the BCM and F146 in the BJB), but still nothing.

When I originally purchased the truck, I installed all new speakers, the Kicker Key amp and the powered sub in the back. Everything worked beautifully until I made that mistake.

Any thoughts on a solution?

The fact that you have an aftermarket Kicker Key amp is the smoking gun here.

When the Sync screen greys out the speaker icon, it means the factory ACM (Audio Control Module) is detecting an open circuit or a dead fault on the speaker lines. Since your Kicker Key is sitting between the ACM and the speakers, if that amp loses power or shorts out, the ACM immediately shuts down audio output to protect itself.

Check the Inline Fuses: Did you check the dedicated inline fuse on the power wire you ran directly to the battery for the Kicker Key (and the sub)? If the amp got wet, that inline fuse likely popped to save your wiring.

Check the Amp Location: Depending on where you stuffed that Kicker Key under the dash (usually behind the glovebox), it probably took a direct hit from water running down the inside of the dash.

The Bypass Test: Pull the dash apart, unplug the aftermarket T-harness you used for the Kicker amp, and plug the factory harness directly back together.

If the speakers wake up and the icon isn't greyed out anymore, your factory radio is fine and the Kicker Key is fried.

If it's still dead, the water unfortunately took out the factory ACM behind the dash.

Run that bypass test first. Fingers crossed it's just a blown inline fuse on the Kicker's power wire!
