Yes this is 100% the same issue, take it in and make sure they submit the claim with ford with photos or else it will be denied. They need to show it hitting that plastic piece on the passenger side
well the dealer got back to me. Ford said that the rip is “damage” and damage is not covered by the warranty Even though it’s a design flaw. Lol.

I asked the dealer for more help and they basically said “tough luck ford said no so nothing we can do.”

I feel like the dealer should be able to fight back but maybe not.

thankfully the tear is small so maybe I can figure out how to repair by myself.

So I bought the mountain metal door baskets. On them, there is a trim piece that pops in place. For whatever reason, I had extra trim pieces and I popped it in at that pinch point. Seems to work well and not more rubbing on the sharp edge.

thats some real bullshit, I would try calling ford myself and ask them why others like myself have gotten a brand new top and yours was denied. I would almost bet 100% the dealer did not take pictures showing the top hitting the plastic piece. I made sure they submitted that and the video I took showing the damn top rubbing up against the plastic piece when I was driving with the top down. Zero chance I would take “well you’re SOL” as an answer when it’s 100% a design flaw. Shit, there’s guys who have messaged me saying they’re on their second replacement top!

I am so worried about that happening to mine. . I've seen so many pictures of this. I try to check every time I put down the top, but I'm worried I will miss it rubbing on that metal hinge sometime. Sorry that is happening to yours!!

I took my bronco in last week with a few of these same concerns "top rubbing fender tops, wind/air leak above rear passenger door, soft top wear points, etc... I knew about the "rubbing issue/top wear" prior to purchasing my bronco and was very careful with making sure I didn't let the edge rub, but even being careful it still happened once and left a small cut in the soft top. I also had an issue with a pinch point toward the front of the soft top which I presented to my dealer. After a day they called and said they had parts ordered for multiple TSB's and would have my top as good as new. I have been very happy with my dealer and the way they have been determined to make it right.

Walked into dealer today with 2 TSBs in hand and got progress on both. Soft top is covered under warranty, currently under a soft backorder so we'll see how long it takes. I honestly didn't expect a full replacement of the top piece of material but that's what they're doing. They'll complete the TSB steps on the hardware when it arrives.

Has anyone else experienced this issue yet? Luckily it’s small, but not sure what to even do about it? Going to take it in to the dealer and see what they say about it. Looks like it’s happening right at the bend when the soft top goes back

First time I’ve had to clean my soft top due to bird with intestinal issues. Noticed this right on one of the crossbars. Any idea if Ford will cover this? 1400 miles and less than 2 months of ownership.
