Anyone come up with anything creative to reduce the noise on long road trips? I know what I got myself into with the soft top...but wouldn't hurt. Air seems to come through right in the middle where the top hinges.

Really?I bought the GearShade mesh bimini and some egg-crate foam from Amazon - works like a champ for noise and temperature. 3" egg crate foam fits perfectly snug between the bimini and soft top.

What do you doing you come out of work and itās a beautiful day? Myself like being able to throw the top back. Would the foam stay in the back or blow all over? To me the top is not bad seems the plastic window area is where 80% of the sound comes from. I have tried but was wondering if a thick clear poly from the rear roll bar to the floor behind the rear seats would cut a lot if that out. I would not want a blanket as I still like to use the rear view mirror.Yes?
Downside of the foam is it makes a terrible emergency blanket. But I can safely store a lot of eggs if I need to.
I live in the northeast, so 5-7 months a year it's too cold to take the top off anyway, so I leave it in. The other months I deal with a noisy top. I guess if I was going on a long road trip on a highway in the summer, I would spend the 10 seconds to throw the foam back in. When I say 10 seconds, I mean literally 10 seconds. I cut the foam into two pieces that slide in between the mesh and soft top, and they stay in place very well, no fussing around. What do you doing you come out of work and itās a beautiful day?
