My 2.7L is running just fine. I'm not sure what is "scary" about this. These engine issues are popping up really early in the lifetime of the vehicle. I'd much rather have an issue in the 1st year of the vehicle's ownership when it's fully warranted and possibly able to use the lemon law, than having the engines blow in 5 years.

My uncle has been around the block a few times and has never given me bum advice. He says it's COVID that's blowing up those 2.7 liter motors. Seems the "valve guy" who installs 'em in the heads was told to get a COVID booster shot. After shift, he stopped by the local bar and had a few beers. Then it came to him.... if one booster shot was good, a half dozen booster shots would make him damn near bulletproof. That evening he drove around to every CVS and Walgreens in Lima, Ohio and got jabbed. The next day he was shedding spiked proteins like the Bellagio fountains. Every value he picked up got smeared with messenger RNA. After a few thousand miles the "spikes" that grew on those valves ate up the valve guides and Kablooey! Makes sense to me.

Let’s see the statistics on this 2.7 engine problem. It’s starting to sound like the 2.7 is Covid eco boost 😂😂!! I will gladly stick with my 2.7 if it blows I will receive an engine that’s been redesigned and the problem will be fixed.

Ok. I'm sorry but it's one 2.7 after another failing. This is getting to be waaay more concerning as the weeks go on.

I'm getting to the point where I'm either going to change my order to the 2.3L or switch to a Jeep.

If you don't think this is a big deal just wait until you finally get your Bronco after months to years of waiting and then it grenades and your Bronco ends up at a dealership getting fixed for months. Not something I'm willing to go through.

Just listen to this guy's story. Um yeah. No thanks. Definitely don't want to be another 2.7 casualty. Honestly these quality issues are pissing me off. Not really excited to get a Bronco anymore. You??

Every time I sit in a Ford, I cringe and expect it to not start. Just sayin'
Interesting. Before 2000 I had disdain for anything Ford. On recommendation from a good friend, I bought the first F150 Supercrew generation…and have been Ford ever since. Complete reliability, way less issues than what I’ve had with GMs or Chryslers. With the exception of my Jeep Compass I’ve bought nothing but Fords since 2000. I’m not brand-loyal per se - every vehicle purchase I start from Square 1 - but I’ve ended up time and time again buying Fords.

I’m the black sheep of a GM-family. But I’m happy with my 22-year relationship with Ford.

Idk, I read horror stories off vehicles/toys I own and have had zero major issues with any of them.

My vw rabbit wasn’t supposed to last over 100k miles, but here I am with 253k and counting and still running rock solid.

My wife’s 2016 jk has 114k with zero issues and runs great (only issue is having to replace the battery every other year).

Last but not least, I have a 2015 Yamaha SVHO wave runner. Everyone on greenhulk says their timing chain on 14’ and 15’ model svho’s snapped sometime before 80 hours, destroying the engine, but here I am with 135 hours and no issues in that engine too!

I guess my point is you only hear about the horror stories. Take care of your vehicle, drive/ride it like it wants to, and it’ll take care of you. If you are one of the extremely unlucky and have a Lemmon on your hands from bad vendor parts, those issues will come out well within the standard warranty period.

Pretty sure you can sell a 2021 bronco with a blown engine, buy a Jeep and have money left over for mods 😉

Well…if there was a bad batch of valves or whatever, I’d assume most if not all would destruct eventually, for me sooner rather than later…so how many in a batch?

Care to give us how many 2.7 failures you've counted out of the 10s of thousand Broncos shipped so far?
Not worried because it will be under warranty plus if it does, I get a brand new engine on my gently-used Bronco 😁.

For those concerned, please change your order to a 2.3L, and a soft top, and no sasquatch, it'll help the rest of us get our orders quicker!
