Long story, running late for work, slipped the clutch, bam! Right into the back of a box truck. So stupid on my part. It's minor, but you guys know how long its gonna take to get parts.

Looks like you can PDR the hood - and the grill and lil plastic shroud shouldn't be too big a deal to replace. You can probably find a used one that someone might have for sale switched for a different trim level's grill.

This is what I would do:

Have the insurance company cut you a check for the damages.

Have a body shop fix the hood.

The grill absolutely looks repairable. A little glue, body filler, some paint, and a little bit of work, and you can come out with an awesome custom look.

That crappy plastic bumper needed to go anyway, now you have an excuse to upgrade.

Maybe throw the hood body armor on for now until it can get fixed? Seems like that should cover up the dent.

it will actually start in first without touching the gas

Sorry to hear. Just a FYI, driving fast and aggressive because your late isn't going to get you to your destination any faster. Don't get me wrong I've done it too, but it doesn't work. One time I drove across town with 12" pieces of steel hanging out the tailgate. I drove extremely slow, and amazing thing I got home in the same amount of time it normally takes.
