Can anyone give any insight on this error I am getting on my wifes Bronco. Trying to use Sirius and it says "Antenna Problem" also noticed the Navigation isnt working either.

Back story- I was in the process of installing a sub and amp. I had that all done and everything worked just fine.

Everything was working fine until I installed new kick panel speakers. I put the kick panels back in then went to test everything and Sirius stopped working.

I can see the orange antenna cable which I connected and disconnected. So that shouldnt be an issue. (EDIT - I think the orange cable is the am/fm antenna cable)

Is there some random fuse that doesnt seem obvious that popped.

Does anyone have a picture of what the xm antenna cable looks like or its location?

I am out of ideas on what to check and would love some insight or maybe someone else has had this problem. TIA.

I pulled the ac control portion off and double checked all the connections behind it. It looks like both antennas are connected to the ACM. There is one tan connection not being used. But the yellow and black ones are both connected.

I am aggravated and at a loss.

The XM antenna is in the cross brace just below the rear hard top shell. (Pic with arrow blow.)

As far as what could have happened, I'd probably need to check the wiring diagram. Don't have it readily available at the moment though.

@RagnarKon Do you by chance know where the cable splits or might have come disconnected from the front to back? I guess I am going to have to pull out all the passenger side interior and follow the antenna from the back to front. Its just the strangest thing ever.

It would go down the door sill trim pieces - which fortunately are easy to pop out quickly.

From there it's kick panels in the front, and those damn rear cargo panels that have the subwoofer (R) / trailer module (L).

Antenna wiring runs down the C-pillar on the driver's side of the vehicle, then runs up front.

Behind the dash there is an antenna splitter that splits the signal between the ACM module and the navigation system. I'll admit I haven't personally put eyes on that splitter, so I don't know where exactly it is, but chances are you'll have to rip out the Sync screen to reach it.

@RagnarKon - ahh so the xm antenna wire is on the driver side not the passenger side. I was confused on that. Thanks for clearing that up.

My plan is to just pull out the whole (driver side) starting from the back to the front and see if I can find any problems or disconnected wires or anything at all.

I was hoping the xm antenna wire maybe split somewhere before behind the head unit and that would explain what maybe came loose.

I did not remove the roll bar plastic at all so I know its still connected to the actual Antenna puck that is mounted to the roll bar.

Saturday when I rip all the interior out and track the wire I will try to take pics incase anyone else has this problem in the future. I will say the wire itself looks very small compared to everyone referring to it as a coax.

Well the whole front dash is off. I followed the sirius antenna from the back to the splitter and there are not any disconnections anywhere that I can find.

Makes me think the splitter itself must have gone bad. Guess its off to the dealership.

Here is the dash removed. In the picture you can see the splitter which I am guessing is the culprit. Open to any other ideas or places to look for loose cables.
