a few months parked hardly qualifies for "lot rot" . besides, i am in the cue now for a 22 and have waited as long as anyone. If this is a sollution.... those that give up their 21 sitting there get put back into the BACK of the current cue. NOT the front or middle or even considered until all of us who got the email because we didnt get a vin yet.

Yes, but many being pushed to 22 can still make changes. MAP prisoners currently have no options. Take it or go to the end of the line despite your first hour reservation.

And yes lot rot has been blown out of proportion, but most MAP prisoners have concerns to varying degrees. Let them/us wait a couple months longer, if we want, for a ā€˜22.
My point exactly . It’s a hard spot to be in for those stuck at MAP & can’t make changes but still have to wait with no ETA in sight & once you get it, there’s concerns since it’s been sitting . Ford should do ā€˜something’ is what I mentioned, to combat these ppls fears but I saw somewhere on Twitter that they’re working on better protecting the vehicles

I wouldn’t rule this out as a solution by Ford if they can’t hold the correction plan schedule and get everything done before the 22 line starts rolling

Maybe they can get the white shrink wrap on the hood like most of the imports do.

Are there really that many people willing to make a poor financial decision to get a Bronco 6 months sooner? Trading in a used bronco will definitely be a loss of money. Despite the market, the dealer isn't going to give them what they paid for it, will they? I could see selling it to a direct buyer and getting the money back, but not a dealer. They'll offer you 10k less on your trade in and if you refuse, they'll just sell your second bronco with 10k ADM.
Yes, and it may not be a poor financial decision given the current market. We got brand new Ford Broncos with ~$60k MSRP selling online for $100,000. It's insane.

There was a 2018 F-150 Raptor with 20,000 miles that was just sold at my dealer for $3000 above MSRP sticker price. Yes... a 3 year old truck with 20,000 miles just sold above what the price was when it was brand new.

And it isn't just the highly sought after vehicles. I (unfortunately) lost my wife's 2016 Ford Focus earlier this summer due to a rather giant oak tree that decided it no longer wanted to remain in the ground. Bought it in late 2017 for $14,889. My insurance company valued the car at $15,128. Literally the only time in my life my car has increase in value.

Even if the market settles down a little bit in the future... say you trade in or sell your Bronco next year around this time for $4000-$5000 below MSRP. You effectively just leased a vehicle for $350 - $420/mo, which for a lot of people ain't bad at all.

I feel for you dirt mountain guys, I can't imagine the wild swing of getting a VIN, getting actually built, and then watching that depressing dirt mountain video.

And Ford announcing, 'JK! lol. You can't have now and you'll get your MY 21 by 22.'

Just use the second reservation you made and 99ed to order the 22 when the banks open? You were allowed to make two. Probably going to use mine for a 23 when the options change. I’ll drive my dirt mountain till then.

Well this is the point. What no one knows is what prep Ford has made on the Broncos it has in storage. Cars that get shipped from overseas have cosmoline on most of the car to protect it from the salt bath it is in on a car carrying cargo ship. I'd bet sitting in a cargo ship for just a few weeks is far worse than sitting in Michigan for 90 days.

Ship mine without the damn top (no additional cost to Ford) and provide me with a reasonable credit towards a soft top. Simple, easy, no cost to Ford. This is beyond ridiculous!

That depends, many vehicles are shipped in storage containers and are well protected against the elements. Others are shipped with other forms of protective coverings/coatings; but none are just rolled off the assembly line and stuffed in a dirt lot for months on end without preparation for storage/transport (which is exactly the situation for the Dirt Mountain Storage Facility). They have not been prepped for shipping or storage from what I was able to see. One even still had the window rolled down, if I remember correctly.

So you are basing an opinion that Ford hasn't done any preparation on the Broncos at "Dirt Mountain" (cute name BTW, just adds to the hysteria) from a half-ass phone video you've seen on the internet. You assume Ford has no plans to protect its production inventory, based on what?

Has B6G sent any scouts out to investigate the lack of prep or prep packages the Dirt Mountain Broncos have? Maybe drone flights from a BVS position? Maybe a Hogan's Heros tunnel into the compound to get more Intel. How about some paraballic microphones to catch some Fordspeak by the logistics crew?

This is better than watching TV.

But seriously, I would take a Bronco with MIC top 1.0 and sign a waiver regarding any claim against cosmetic appearance only. Ford should offer that option IMO.

I have been waiting for this Bronco to come out since I heard the early rumors back in 2015, I wished get a vin and build date to to have a 2021'. I got my wish (careful what you wish for) and now my poor baby sits at Dirt Mountain with the rest. Going to be kind of sucky to get this thing in Dec-Jan while the 22's are being produced in a color green that I may very much prefer. The option to give people with built Broncos a choice to get a 22' instead I think would be very fair at this point. Though even if that was an option not sure what I would do. I'm still holding on hope that I will love my Bronco when it eventually gets to me and it wont matter if its a 21 or 22'.

Show me any evidence to the contrary... yeah, that's what I thought, you have none.

Lot Rot…..who makes this crap up? Some of you have bought a vehicle that was built halfway around the globe. Have no idea how long, or where it sat before it was loaded onto a ship that crossed oceans. Then was unloaded and sat who knows where, or for how long before it ever was hauled to a dealership. If you no longer want your ā€ limboedā€ Bronco, Iā€˜ll take it.
