Finally took delivery of my SHW Offroad ultralight drawers.

Very impressed with how light the wood is. They mention that its some ultra lightweight wood from Spain that they import, it's finished with a vinyl coating. Seems fairly durable. I obviously haven't put it thru any trips yet but I can see the surface finish lasting a good amount of time. I suspect when dust gets on it, it'll discolor a little bit, it's slightly rough, but not too rough.

It comes flat packed in two boxes. One larger one and smaller one. The larger one has the top and the larger pieces, and the smaller one contains the small pieces and hardware.

All of the pieces are notched for nuts that you need to install with corresponding holes in the appropriate mating part. The pieces all for 2 were labelled (the sides of the larger box).

This brings me to my first gripe: basically no instructions.
I figured it out. It took a while and they could make it a lot easier on the customer if they included some diagrams, or exploded views for how things go together. Everything seems to only go together one way (I think, I'm actually not sure - I'll get to that later). They do provide a qr code with a link that tells you how to install the completed box into the vehicle, not how to build the box.

So after some struggling I finally got it. Took some thinking (more than I would have liked). But I got it in.

So today I went to install it - I learned that it seems like my lower plate is missing two holes to allow the box to be mounted to the rear tie down points in the trunk.

I texted, called and emailed earlier today and haven't gotten a response yet. It's been maybe 3-4hrs so I'll give them some more time. Im a bit worried about this part though. I'll include a link to a YouTube video showing the missing holes.

Just wanted wanted to update here - ive connected with Wes at SHW and we've very quicky determined a couple things:

- I made an error reading their website - the instructions were in fact there, but I skipped over the general "this is how you put it together" and skipped directly to the "BRONCO" part - my bad. However, I did end up putting it together correctly :)
- Their website did have the incorrect "how to install in the vehicle" instructions linked - theyll be fixing this soon!
- I did not receive some key parts that would allow me to fasten the back to points down - im not actually missing the holes, they use brackets to bolt it down, im missing the brackets.

Wes is sending out the missing parts today and ill hopefully get them in a few days :)

Overall im pretty happy with the quality of this product. It sounds like the main box is designed to fit a number of vehicles and they adjust the outer flaps to fit other vehicles (Jeep, bronco, others?).

Ill post some photos of it when ive got it completed and post a final review and impressions once I have it loaded up and thoughts about any noise It makes. Right now im thinking about considering nailing and gluing the edges to make it stronger and remove any possibility for it to collapse - going to talk to some friends about this.

Got the drawers in tonight!
Im pretty happy, they're basic, light and give me a decent amount of storage. The compartment below the drawers is also accessible by taking one of the drawers out which is no problem because it has handles on both sides.

I had to adjust the little stoppers position to stop them from bumping around besides that after I got the right parts, I was able to install no problem.

Not shown is the voids to the left and right are accessible by removing the panels on the top. I think I might run an outlet and maybe mount my ecoflow alternator charger in one of them to keep it out of sight.

These look very nice. I’d love to see more pics and hear your thoughts after using them for a while.

I reached out to SHW asking if they had any experience with the 6G 2Door, unfortunately the answer was no.

I’d love to see SHW develop a UL systems for the 2Door with a rear seat delete. If any other 2Door owners agree send SHW a note and let them know!

I may try to build my own seat delete platform this winter. My carpentry skills are OK but I’m certainly not a trim carpenter / cabinet maker. I plan to solicit some help from a buddy of mine who is an aspiring luthier.

My hunch is it's because they build the drawer box to fit a few vehicles ( jeep etc) and then make the border pieces to fit the specific vehicles. They just don't have a design for a smaller 2dr vehicle.

That's my guess.

Yes, that’s accurate. I sent them a note, no 2Door activity.

I get it..limited demand due to small market, limited access to 2Door for development needs, etc.

Maybe the 4Door version would fit with some adaptation. If I lived anywhere near them I’d go visit. Their universal drawers are on my maybe list.

Hey, I actually spoke to him since this thread, I forgot to post it here.

He said that they just dont have a sample to scan with their 3d scanner, so they just dont have an example to base the design from. I think theyd love to offer it if someone is in their area and would be willing to let them use their rig!

Good to know! With some luck they will find a volunteer. I wish I was closer, Kentucky is a long way from Northern CO.
