What shitty Michigan company is producing these crap ass alternators?

my 2.3 has been in the shop for almost a month now for several warranty issues. The one that’s been keeping me from getting it back from the dealer for 3 wks is waiting for the fourth alternator to show up. Makes me feel real confident when they find “the good one”. Why isn’t there any checks and balances going on? Did they QC any of them? Ford get your shit together and hold these asshats you hired accountable. Not to mention the faulty window mech, front driveshaft and bad battery. I ditched jeep because of many issues over the years, now you’re going to be added to the list.

who else has had the charging system blues?

I make no assumptions. Just stating what the dealer told me. Anyhow it’s still bullshit no matter where they’re made.
Yeah I bought it in Oregon as I’m here for work but will be returning to MI real soon so I guess I could pick which one is better.

I’m not on the fourth but trying to get a second one put on the vehicle. The dealer keeps getting shit ones sent to them.

at least Chrysler let me buy parts and install them then they reimbursed me. Ford says no way. Why not? They can’t provide a quality product

Well at least you have parts coming toward your bronco. I'm w/o my bronco on day 93 now, waiting on transmission. (which come off backorder April 28).

So far have owned bronco 228 days and bronco has been at shop 112 of those days.

Damn that sucks, sorry to hear that. Guessing it’s a MT? Ford really fucked up with all these parts failing. Last Ford I owned was a 97 tbird sc and now this WILL BE the last Ford. People will say oh it’s the pandemic woes. If so then quit making shit vehicles until you get quality parts.

If I was in your situation I'd rant as well. The dealership had done after the replacement alternator was bad, they should have ordered multiple to make sure that they had a good one.

The world is just producing crap right now. Quality has gone out the window. I can't even order basic food at a restaurant without them screwing something up nowadays.

I know it's cliche that they don't make things like they used to... But this is a whole new level of incompetence worldwide.

I haven't had a Ford in 25 years and to be honest the majority of Ford owners seem like a bunch of fucking snowflakes. How can they sit here and defend Ford after they build shit that can't run or get parts for and get pissy with the people who paid hard money to get a crappy vehicle. I have been watching for well over a year now while I wait. People get fucked and get a 60K rig that will not run, and they can fix it and these snowflakes get mad because they need to justify their purchase in their head? You can't say anything bad about the almighty FORD while you make payments on something that will not run, and they cannot fix in a timely manner.? Something tells me FORD owners equal clueless Brandon lovers. Now matter how bad things are you refuse to open your eyes and access what is actually happening. Labor shortage at Ford? We can't find good help? All BS. If you were paying a good wage you would have no problem getting the matching talent. They are paying shit wages and you get shit employees to make the entire Ford purchase and ownership experience a shit show. Deliver the shit rig so I can flip it and get out of this fucking FORD nightmare!

I'm willing to bet the data suggests the exact opposite of this but we just hear about the failures more not because of forums, youtube gotcha videos, etc.

how so? they're trying to get me a 4th alt that's not shit. you're telling me it's just bad luck that 3 in a row are bad. what about all the mic failures and batteries and driveshaft boots and... it's way worse than 3yrs ago.

i do a lot of work in auto plants and i see the lots where the problem cars go. since the sickness came those lots are overflowing 2 to 3 fold from pre sickness era. flint gm campus is my home when i'm in state. i'm very familiar with the workings of all 6 plants there. so keep on believing quality is the same as it ever was

How much do you trust that your dealer is telling you the truth? 4th alternator? Seems odd especially when the alternator is not known to be a pervasive issue. Wouldn't be the first time a dealer doesn't give the customer the real story.

Also call Ford and start pursuing that route given that your dealer can't seem to get your Bronco repaired in a timely manner and is supposedly receiving bad parts.
