Curious to see the community's seat covers.

I'm picking up a '23 BadSquatch (2-door, Eruption Green, High Lux) this weekend and I run hot and can already feel my back sticking to the black leather/vinyl trim seats in warm weather...or even chilly weather in my case.

I kind of like the look of this Solara cover, but read a review or two that they were cheaply made and I'm not sure if it would help with sticking to the seat - I think they say it is made with "military grade cotton", whatever the hell that is.

* First post here and I tried using the search option.

I like the one you have pictured. I put some neoprene seat covers on the wife's HEEP years ago, they are fine except a strap broke on the driver's side in the first year and it can get sideway on entry/exit.

I went with the Malbett seat covers. Bought from Amazon. I have a 2026 Badlands 4-dr with the leather seat option (got them for the added adjustability for my wife). Bang for the buck is good and they look like my leather seats. Only downsides: a) they cover the molle panels on the backs of my driver and passenger seats, and b) a pain to install mostly because of the hard plastic at the bottom of my driver and passenger seats.

Could you remove the molle panel make small holes and reattach?

The molle panels are really part of the seat. Maybe I could try that, but I am OK having pockets. I have lots of molle panels in my cargo area and I can always add more. If you search Youtube, you may find a video of Mabett seat covers that have cut outs for the molle panels. I looked, but could find these. I even considered cutting my covers to expose the panels, but then I decided to leave them as-is. I am still really happy with them, even without the molle access. They look and feel really nice (and I am super picky!!).

So I've battled the vinyl seats as well since I run pretty hot. I installed cheap sheep skin seat covers off Amazon right before my Moab trip as an experiment. Almost 4,000 miles back in late April and literally no sweaty back, swamp ass, or anything. I freaking swear by them, now. No they don't actually make you feel any cooler, but the sweat doesn't accumulate and it's so much more comfortable. They look a little nutty, especially once they get Dusty. And with the doors off it's actually kind of funny. But function over form you know what I mean.

Have to share my positive experience with these Carhartt canvas covers - highly recommended!

Like @KreeHBronco, I have the Mabett vinyl - they fit well, but they do not age well. Mine are cracking and the vinyl is starting to come up. That said, they are pretty comfortable - surprisingly so for being faux leather. I find they breath better than the bear fabric seat does. Most people don't even realize they are a seat cover and not the factory seat.

I guess it's a matter of getting what you pay for - they weren't expensive so I shouldn't complain that they aren't lasting a long time. I'm searching for something that matches the fit and comfort, but hopefully lasts a bit longer than a couple of years.

I thought they had a different seat cover backing for those that had the mollee panels on the seats. Mine went on pretty easy - didn't even have to pull the seats out to get them to fit tight.

Those carhartt ones had better be comfy because they fit like $#!^

We’ve tried a few in our Broncos and the Rough Country neoprene covers have been the most durable, water protective, and heat resistant of them all so far. They look great and stay cool as well.

Thanks for the warning! I also added ceramic tint to all of my windows to cut down on UV and solar heating. Hopefully, it will help my seats stay young (and me too).

What’s going on with the frayed area? is that happening on both sides on both seat covers?

Neoprene is less sticky than vinyl and leather but my back still got hot and sweaty on long drives. The Wet Okoles I had in my Tacoma smelled funny when new and like a gym bag after a time. I found myself pulling them out to wash them at least a couple times per year. For me, cloth is still king.

I have the RC seat covers over my 2 dr base Sas cloth seats. I think they are neoprene. They fit pretty snug and no problems so far. I think they have the openings on the sides for the airbags.

Love it!
Don’t take my opinion (or anyone else’s here) as gospel! Question, scrutinize & challenge..

* My own feedback for those of you putting vinyl (or neoprene) over leather: WTF? 🤣 I’d choose leather for the ā€œfeelā€ & quality of leather! (Yeah, vinyl protects the leather, fair enough.) IMO, I’m trying to solve ā€œstickyā€ hot weather & ā€œdamn that’s coldā€ during the winter with my (awesome) MGV - and these Carhartt’s nail it for me. (I think they look awesome, too!)

Chuck identified this frayed ā€œcushionā€ and yes, stitching is frayed on BOTH sides & could be better Carhartt!!

But ladies & gentlemen, it’s a 4WD off-roader that will get rained in/on, muddy, dusty & $@*%# on! šŸ˜› I’ll rinse them with a hose & throw them in the washer if I find the need. Otherwise leaf blower is my preferred tool for detailing the interior.

I’ll promptly cut the frayed threads - thank you for pointing-out as my OCD usually kicks in 🧐

See pics…

Look at Coverking SpartanShield Seat Covers. The material is used in a lot of commercial applications like buses. Comfortable, long lasting and stain resistant. I've had mine for 2 years now and they still look like new. Highly recommend.
