I feel like an idiot and need some of the Bronco6g expert guidance:

When starting the car, it shows a seatbelt status. Annoying, but I can live with it. Now when driving, let’s say someone in the back wants to change seats, or my kid is going bonkers and my wife wants to jump In the back to smack him around a little, the seatbelt warning will NOT go away. So are you just eternally stuck with the seatbelt warning unless you buckle that bitch up?! I have to be stupid right?

If the seat detects a butt without a seatbelt the chiming will just continue to get more insistent until the butt has a belt. Our work trucks are Fords and I work with a guy who REFUSES to wear a seatbelt. I did a 6 hour trip with him, and I can assure you the chime never ever goes away. I was ready to kill him. Just be glad it doesn't turn off the radio if anyone is unbuckled like our work truck...

That guy would have had a belt on or he'd be walking or taking other transportation. No way I'd let that chime continue AND no radio for 6 hours. Out yo damn mind.

I believe it is page 56 of owners manual that gives directions to disable seatbelt warning chime. At least for front seats. Someone also post some time back that some year models of F150 use the same steps to disable chime.

So it’s not really the chime that’s the problem. It’s that if someone moves seats after engine start, even if they buckle into another seat, the warning won’t cease. It shows on the instrument cluster eternally. No way to clear it or reset it that I could find

Mine does the same thing. Someone that was wearing a seat belt exits the vehicle, shuts the door, and the warning light comes on. Stupid system.

I can just push "ok" on my steering wheel and it goes away. Or we are talking about two different things.

You can press “ok” when it first comes on, but not later if someone shuffled around or exits the vehicle

Guess I don't have that issue.
